    • Ryan Mountcastle (knee) not in Tuesday’s lineup
Ryan Mountcastle (knee) remains out of the lineup for Tuesday’s contest against the Angels.

Advice: Mountcastle will sit out his second straight contest due to knee soreness with Ryan O’Hearn handling the cold corner out in Los Angeles. It sounds like his ongoing absence is merely out of an abundance of caution. Fantasy managers should consider him day-to-day for now. Rotoworld 47 minutes ago

    • Remains out Tuesday
Mountcastle (knee) isn't in the Orioles' lineup for Tuesday's game against the Angels.

Advice: Knee soreness kept Mountcastle from playing in Monday's contest, though manager Brandon Hyde said the 27-year-old was available off the bench for that game. He will remain in the dugout once again Tuesday, allowing Ryan O'Hearn to start at first base while Anthony Santander serves as Baltimore's DH and Heston Kjerstad covers right field. • Breaks slump with walk-off blast
Gorman hit a two-run, walk-off home run in his lone at-bat in Monday's 5-3 win over the Diamondbacks.

Advice: Gorman was given Monday off, but ultimately entered the game as a defensive replacement. His lone at-bat ended the game, as he took Kyle Nelson deep in the ninth inning to complete the Cardinals' comeback win. Gorman has four homers, 10 RBI, six runs scored and three doubles over 84 plate appearances this season, but he's slashing just .179/.238/.372 and striking out at a 38.1 percent clip, so he's not out of the woods yet. Gorman should continue to play against most right-handers, but he'll rarely be in the lineup versus southpaws. Rotowire.com Today, 10:21 am

    • Swats solo shot Monday
Alonso went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Monday's loss to the Giants.

Advice: Alonso accounted for the Mets' first run with a fifth-inning solo blast to left field. The long ball snapped a seven-game homerless drought for the slugger, and he had gone just 4-for-26 with one RBI during that stretch. Alonso still leads the team -- and is tied for third in the majors -- with seven homers on the campaign, though he's knocked in just 12 runs. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:38 pm

    • Struggling of late
McMahon went 0-for-3 with an RBI on Monday against the Padres.

Advice: McMahon recorded four hits April 12, but he has only five hits across 38 plate appearances since. He's also struck out at 39.5 percent clip in that span while tallying two RBI and two runs scored. Even with that stretch, McMahon has a .314 average across 100 plate appearances on the campaign. • Claims eighth save Monday
Suarez earned a save against the Rockies on Monday, giving up two hits in a scoreless inning of work.

Advice: Suarez entered in the ninth inning with San Diego up by two runs and found himself in some trouble when two of the first three batters he faced notched a hit. However, the right-hander got Ryan McMahon to ground into a game-ending double play to escape the jam without a run charged to his ledger. Suarez has now competed eight straight scoreless appearances, and he's given up just one run over 10.2 frames on the season. With eight saves, he is tied with Clay Holmes for first in the majors in that category. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:00 pm
    • Pete Alonso hits seventh homer against Giants
Pete Alonso went 2-for-4 and homered against the Giants on Monday.

Advice: Unfortunately, Alonso couldn’t come through again in the ninth, when the Mets scored once off Camilo Doval but still fell three runs short. Alonso is tied for third in the majors with seven homers. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:16 pm

    • Robert Suarez gets eighth save versus Rockies
Robert Suarez picked up his eighth save with a scoreless ninth against the Rockies on Monday.

Advice: Suarez got into trouble by allowing a double and a single with one out, but Sean Bouchard didn’t try to score from second on the single, since it was a two-run game anyway, and Suarez then induced a double-play ball from Ryan McMahon to end the contest. Suarez has pitched two straight days, so if the Padres have another save chance Tuesday, it could go to Enyel De Los Santos or Yuki Matsui. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:19 pm
    • Nolan Gorman drills walk-off homer to sink D-backs
Nolan Gorman slugged a game-winning two-run homer on Monday, leading the Cardinals to a 5-3 walk-off victory over the Diamondbacks.

Advice: Gorman came off the bench to wallop a 425-foot walk-off shot to right field off Diamondbacks lefty reliever Kyle Nelson. It wss his fourth round-tripper of the season and first time taking a southpaw deep in the opening month of the year. The 23-year-old slugging second baseman has gotten off to an excruatingly-slow start this season, batting .179 (14-for-78) with six runs scored, four homers and 10 RBI through 21 contests. It feels like only a matter of time before he gets going, but he’s struck out a staggering 32 times already in just 84 plate appearances. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:38 pm
