    • Shota Imanaga gets quality start against Giants
      Shota Imanaga allowed three runs in six innings of work in a no-decision against the Giants on Thursday.

      Advice: Imanaga allowed five hits while walking two and fanning three. It’s a marked improvement over his struggled against the Mets on Friday where he allowed 10 runs on 3 1/3 innings, but far from the excellence that we saw from the southpaw earlier in the year. It’s worth noting he did throw fie scoreless in this one, however, before a three-spot came across in the sixth. He still picks up a quality start while possessing a strong — if climbing — 3.07 ERA.     • Strong results in rehab outing
      Williams (elbow) yielded one run on three hits and two walks over four innings in a rehab start with Triple-A Columbus on Thursday.

      Advice: Williams wasn't very efficient, needing 82 pitches to cover his four frames. The results were impressive, though, as he struck out six, induced 16 whiffs and gave up just one batted ball hit at 95+ mph. The Guardians have not confirmed any plans for when Williams' season debut for them will occur, but it could be next week, as soon as Tuesday versus the White Sox.       Gallen (hamstring) could start Saturday against Oakland if Thursday's bullpen session goes well, Alex Weiner of Arizona Sports reports.

      Advice: Thursday's bullpen session will be the second one thrown by Gallen, who also has a couple of simulated games under his belt since he landed on the injured list.       Advice: Mullins broke a 2-2 tie in the seventh inning with a solo shot to right field. The outfielder finished with his fifth multi-hit effort over his past seven contests, a span in which he's batting .407 (11-for-27) with two homers, four RBI and seven runs.       Shane Baz delivered another strong start at Triple-A Durham on Wednesday, giving up two runs on six hits over his five innings of work.

      Advice: The 25-year-old right-hander piled up seven strikeouts on the night while issuing two free passes. Baz got up to 93 pitches in the ballgame, throwing 59 of them for strikes. He’ll continue to dominate at the Triple-A level until the Rays have had enough of Aaron Civale, or until they gain another year of team control over him following the All-Star break.       Teoscar Hernández (personal) returned to the Dodgers’ lineup for Wednesday’s contest against the White Sox.

      Advice: The 31-year-old outfielder missed each of the team’s previous two games while attending to a personal matter in the Dominican Republic.       Gallen (hamstring) threw 67 pitches in a simulated game Monday and will next have a bullpen session Thursday, Steve Gilbert of MLB.com reports.

      Advice: The Diamondbacks were preparing for Gallen to throw Monday, whether in a sim game or live batting practice, and decided on the sim game. He next heads to Chase Field on Thursday for a bullpen session, which will be caught by Gabriel Moreno, who is nursing a sprained left thumb.
