• Luis Matos drives in six runs against Rockies
Luis Matos went 3-for-5 with a home run and six RBI to power the Giants to a 14-4 win over the Rockies on Saturday.

Advice: Matos continued his RBI barrage on Saturday, blasting a three-run homer off Ty Blach in the first inning. He doubled in the third to drive in a run and added two more RBI in the eighth to make it six on the day and 11 over his last two games. The 22-year-old outfielder has gotten off to a hot start at the plate with the Giants, going 10-for-26 with two homers and 17 RBI. With Jung Hoo Lee (shoulder) out for the season, Matos should be a regular in the lineup and brings intriguing power and speed, hitting three homers with three steals across 31 games in Triple-A before his call-up. • Matt Chapman reaches five times against Rockies
Matt Chapman went 4-for-4 with two doubles, four runs scored, one walk, and a stolen base against the Rockies on Saturday.

Advice: Chapman has broken out at the plate of the last two games. After collecting three hits on Friday, he was a perfect 4-for-4 against the Rockies on Saturday. He started with a double in the first and scored on a home run by Luis Matos. Chapman led off the third with a base hit and scored again on a double by Matos. He added a single and a stolen base in the fifth, then reached third on a double and an error in the seventh before scoring once more. The 31-year-old third baseman is now hitting .236/.292/.388 with five homers, 29 runs scored, 20 RBI, and five steals across 192 plate appearances. Rotoworld Today, 3:57 pm

  • Kyle Harrison earns fourth win Saturday
Kyle Harrison allowed three runs with four strikeouts over five innings in a win over the Rockies on Saturday.

Advice: Harrison worked through a pair of scoreless innings before the Rockies brought three runs in to score on three hits and a walk in the third inning. He worked two more scoreless frames, ending his day after five with four strikeouts. The 22-year-old left-hander will take a 3.60 ERA, 1.27 WHIP, and a 49/19 K/BB ratio across 55 innings into a start against the Mets in New York on Friday. Rotoworld Today, 3:55 pm

The 33-year-old left-hander holds a 5.14 ERA, 1.43 WHIP, and a 10/4 K/BB ratio across 21 innings. He’ll take on the Phillies in Colorado on Friday. Rotoworld Today, 3:54 pm

  • Plays catch Saturday
Williams (back) played catch before Saturday's game against the Astros, Curt Hogg of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

Advice: Saturday marks the first time Williams has done any sort of throwing since being shut down during spring training due to multiple stress fractures in his back. The 29-year-old closer still has a long way to go before the Brewers can think about sending him out on a minor-league rehab assignment, but he is certainly trending in the right direction. He's expected to rejoin Milwaukee's bullpen near the All-Star break. Rotowire.com Today, 3:15 pm
  • Shut down again
Manager Bob Melvin said Saturday that Cobb (hip/shoulder) has paused his throwing program due to further complications with his right shoulder, Alex Pavlovic of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.

Advice: Cobb has now been pulled off his throwing program three times since the beginning of the season due to problems with his shoulder. An MRI of his shoulder came back negative in late April, but the Giants will likely want to take another look just to be absolutely certain the right-hander isn't dealing with some underlying issue. Melvin added that Cobb isn't close to returning following his latest shutdown, making it likely his absence extends well into June. Rotowire.com Today, 11:36 am

  • Alex Cobb (shoulder) pauses throwing program
Alex Cobb (shoulder, hip) has paused his throwing program.

Advice: Giants manager Bob Melvin told reporters Cobb isn’t close to returning since he’s still feeling something in his shoulder. The 36-year-old righty underwent an MRI last month that didn’t reveal any structural damage, so it’s a really bad sign that he’s still having issues. There is no timetable for his return and at this juncture, it’s fair to wonder whether he’ll return at all this year. Rotoworld Today, 11:26 am

  • Still in line to return Sunday
Padres manager Mike Shildt said Friday that Musgrove (elbow) is "in a great spot" to return to the team's rotation Sunday in Atlanta, Sammy Levitt of 97.3 The Fan reports.

Advice: Musgrove has thrown two bullpen sessions since going on the injured list with right elbow inflammation May 5 and doesn't appear to need a rehab assignment. The right-hander played catch Friday, and if he recovers well from that, there's a good chance he'll take the mound for Sunday's matchup in Atlanta. Musgrove has struggled with a 6.37 ERA and 1.51 WHIP through 41 innings this season, though he pitched well in his most recent start prior to landing on the IL, allowing two runs and striking out nine batters over six frames against Cincinnati on May 1. • Five RBI in win
Matos went 3-for-5 with two doubles and five RBI in Friday's 10-5 win over the Rockies.

Advice: Matos enjoyed one of the best games of his career, driving in at least one run with each of his hits. He added an RBI on a groundout in the seventh inning as well. The 22-year-old is hitting .333 (7-for-21) with 11 RBI and three extra-base hits over his first six contests this season. With Jung Hoo Lee (shoulder) out for the year, Matos has a golden opportunity to claim a full-time major-league job if he can keep hitting well. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:48 pm
