    • Mark Vientos absent from Mets’ lineup on Friday
Mark Vientos is absent from the Mets’ starting lineup for Friday night’s showdown against the Pirates.

Advice: It looks to be nothing more than a routine night off for the 24-year-old slugger. Jose Iglesias will draw a rare start against a right-hander in his place. He’ll start at the hot corner and bat seventh against Paul Skenes and the Pirates on Friday evening at PNC Park. Rotoworld 21 minutes ago

    • Getting breather
Vientos is out of the lineup for Friday's game against Pittsburgh.

Advice: After making 10 consecutive starts at third base Vientos will take a seat for Friday's series opener. Jose Iglesias will bat seventh and play third base. Rotowire.com 53 minutes ago

    • Records save on Independence Day
Hader earned a save against the Blue Jays on Thursday, allowing one hit in one scoreless inning.

Advice: Hader entered in the ninth inning with Houston holding a two-run lead and immediately allowed a single to bring the tying run to the plate. However, he then induced a double play -- Toronto's fifth double play of the contest -- and needed just nine pitches overall to nail down his 14th save. Despite the successful outing, Hader snapped an eight-game streak of appearances with at least one punchout. He had posted a 14:1 K:BB across eight frames during that stretch. • Homers in Thursday's win
Ramos went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run in Thursday's 4-2 win over Atlanta.

Advice: Ramos had a quiet stretch in the later part of June, but he's now bounced back with four multi-hit efforts over his last five games. In that span, he's hit two homers and two doubles while driving in five runs. The outfielder is at a .298/.373/.530 slash line with 12 long balls, 40 RBI, 24 runs scored and two stolen bases over 225 plate appearances this season. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:09 pm

    • Ramos blasts 12th home run in win over Braves
Heliot Ramos went 2-for-4 with a two run home run against the Braves on Thursday.

Advice: The home run was Ramos’ 12th of the season. He took Charlie Morton deep in the fourth inning. It’s Ramos’ second home run in his last three games and fourth multi-hit game in his last five games. He’s 9-for-20 (.450) with two home runs and five RBI in the last five games. Ramos is hitting .298 with a .903 OPS and 40 RBI on the season. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:03 pm

    • Collects 22nd save
Suarez allowed a walk during a scoreless inning of relief Thursday to pick up the save against the Rangers. He struck out one.

Advice: Suarez picked up the save for the second-consecutive day, giving him 22 in 23 opportunities on the season. Suarez has not allowed a run in 32 of his 35 appearances, posting an ERA of 1.02 with a 0.76 WHIP and 33 strikeouts over 35.1 innings. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 4:59 pm
    • Goes six innings in no-decision
Burnes allowed two runs on four hits and a walk while striking out six over six innings in a no-decision versus the Mariners on Thursday.

Advice: Burnes, who welcomed twins over the weekend, was strong in his return to the mound. He threw 62 of 94 pitches for strikes, but he gave up both runs in the fifth inning, including a solo home run by Julio Rodriguez. Burnes has posted a quality start in all but one of his last 13 outings, though this was just the second time in his last seven starts that he didn't come away with a win. He has an excellent 2.32 ERA, 1.02 WHIP and 105:25 K:BB through 112.2 innings over 18 starts this season. The right-hander is projected to make his next start at home versus the Cubs and should be set to pitch on a regular schedule with the Orioles electing for a five-man rotation moving forward. • Corbin Burnes tallies six strikeouts vs. Mariners
Corbin Burnes struck out six and allowed two runs over six innings on Thursday in a no-decision against the Mariners.

Advice: Burnes set down 12 straight batters to open the contest, and carried a shutout into the fifth inning, before coughing up a gargantuan solo homer to Mariners struggling superstar Julio Rodríguez. He proceeded to load the bases with nobody out in the frame, but managed to wriggle out of the jam with only one run crossing the plate. The overall strikeout total doesn’t seem that impressive, but he generated an eye-popping 18 swinging strikes and finished with a 31 percent CSW. The 29-year-old fantasy ace will bring a sparkling 2.32 ERA, 1.02 WHIP and 105/25 K/BB ratio across 112 2/3 innings (18 starts) into a home outing on Wednesday against the Cubs in his final start prior to the Midsummer Classic. • Robert Suarez quiets Rangers to collect 22nd save
Robert Suarez fired a scoreless ninth inning on Thursday against the Rangers to record his 22nd save of the season.

Advice: Suarez came on to face the bottom of the Rangers’ lineup in the final frame with a two-run lead in hand and immediately got into trouble by issuing a leadoff walk to rookie sensation Wyatt Langford. Fortunately, he was able to get Leody Taveras to ground into a fielder’s choice before striking out Travis Jankowski and coaxing a game-ending ground out from Jonah Heim. He’s converted a staggering 22 of 23 save opportunities this season and figures to be named to the senior circuit’s All-Star Game roster in the coming days. Rotoworld Yesterday, 2:12 pm
