    • Absent from Tuesday's lineup
Carroll is not in the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Giants.

Advice: One day after being moved down to the No. 8 spot in the Diamondbacks' batting order, Carroll is now out of the lineup altogether. Both games have come versus left-handers. Carroll is hitting a woeful .192/.280/.281 during his massively disappointing 2024 campaign. Jake McCarthy is in center field Tuesday. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 1:51 pm
    • Corbin Carroll not in lineup Tuesday vs. southpaw
Corbin Carroll is absent from the lineup for Tuesday’s contest against the Giants.

Advice: Carroll was dropped to the eighth spot in Arizona’s lineup earlier this week for the first time this season and will take a seat on Tuesday evening for the first time since May 15 with lefty Kyle Harrison toeing the rubber for San Francisco in this one. The 23-year-old has struggled to a calamitous .561 OPS with two homers and nine steals through 58 games. Rotoworld Tuesday, 1:50 pm
    • On bench vs. southpaw
Lowe is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Marlins.

Advice: Lowe was reinstated from the 10-day injured list Monday after missing time with an oblique issue, but he's not in the lineup for his first game back since lefty Jesus Luzardo is starting for Miami. Randy Arozarena, Jose Siri and Jonny DeLuca will start across the outfield while Harold Ramirez serves as the designated hitter. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 1:27 pm

    • Officially activated from IL
The White Sox activated Robert (hip) from the 10-day injured list Tuesday.

Advice: Robert wound up missing more than two months of action with a Grade 2 right hip flexor strain. The center fielder went just 3-for-27 during eight rehab games, although two of those hits were home runs. Robert is not expected to be an everyday player right out of the chute upon his activation, as he will have some extra off days mixed in as he eases back into things. He is, however, in Tuesday's lineup versus the Cubs, batting third and playing center field. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 12:42 pm

    • Luis Robert Jr. (hip) officially activated off IL
White Sox activated OF Luis Robert Jr. off the 10-day injured list.

Advice: Robert Jr. is officially back to handle center field for the White Sox after missing close to two months with his hip injury. The 26-year-old may have some rust to shake off, but fantasy managers are well aware of what Robert Jr. is capable of at his best. He’ll take the place of Tommy Pham, with Pham on the injured list with an ankle sprain. Rotoworld Tuesday, 12:35 pm

    • Luis Robert Jr. (hip) returning to lineup Tuesday
The White Sox will activate Luis Robert Jr. off the 10-day injured list to start Tuesday against the Cubs.

Advice: Robert Jr. went just 3-for-27 in his rehab games, but the most important thing is that the 26-year-old came out of those contests healthy. He’ll offer potential help in all five categories — even with the White Sox lineup not offering a ton of run-producing chances — and should be activated immediately by fantasy managers. • Returning from IL on Tuesday
Robert (hip) will be activated from the 10-day injured list and return to the White Sox lineup for Tuesday's game versus the Cubs, Daryl Van Schouwen of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.

Advice: Robert has been sidelined since early April with a Grade 2 right hip flexor strain but is ready to roll after he went 3-for-27 with two home runs over eight rehab games. While Robert is in the lineup Tuesday, manager Pedro Grifol has previously noted that his center fielder will be given extra off days initially as he eases back into action. • Drops to eighth in batting order
Carroll is starting in center field and batting eighth Monday night against the Giants, Alex Weiner of ArizonaSports.com reports.

Advice: Carroll's struggles at the dish have continued, as he's slashing .205/.289/.333 over his last 10 contests. Skipper Torey Lovullo noted that he'll likely bump Carroll down in the order against lefties moving forward, per Weiner. This change clears the way for Gabriel Moreno to move into the No. 2 spot in the order Monday evening. Rotowire.com Monday, 5:10 pm
    • Corbin Carroll dropped to eighth in lineup
The Diamondbacks have Corbin Carroll batting eighth tonight against Giants left-hander Erik Miller.

Advice: Gabriel Moreno is batting second in his place. This might just be a special-occasion switch, since Miller is being looked at as an opener and dropping Carroll means he might not bat until righty Spencer Howard enters the game. The Diamondbacks typically dropped Carroll in the lineup against lefties last year, but that hasn’t been the case this season; he’s hit first or second against both lefties and righties, aside for a 10-game span in late April and early May in which he was dropped to the bottom of the order versus everyone. Arizona faces a lefty again tomorrow, so unless Torey Lovullo comments, we’ll have to wait and see whether this is a one-time thing, a change versus lefties or a semi-permanent move. The slumping Carroll’s batted-ball numbers got better for a time last month, even if his actual statistics didn’t. Unfortunately, though, they’ve faded again lately. Rotoworld Monday, 2:52 pm
