    • Carlos Estévez records second save in two days
Carlos Estévez recorded his 10th save by pitching a perfect ninth against the Padres on Tuesday.

Advice: It was another easy ninth for Estévez; he’s thrown just 19 pitches in earning saves the last two days. Since he’s had it so easy and he received five straight days off prior to pitching Monday, he might be allowed to work again tomorrow should another save chance arise. • Settles in for fifth win
Pepiot (4-2) earned the win over the Marlins on Tuesday, allowing three runs on six hits over six innings. He struck out eight.

Advice: Pepiot got off to an ugly start Tuesday, allowing three runs in the opening frame. However, he'd proceed to blank Miami over his final five frames while allowing just one additional hit while the Rays rallied for a 9-5 victory. The 26-year-old Pepiot now has 15 strikeouts over his last two starts (11.2 innings). His ERA sits at 3.96 on the season with a 0.96 WHIP and 59:16 K:BB across 10 outings (52.1 innings). Pepiot is currently in line for a home matchup with Baltimore early next week in his next start. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 9:50 pm

    • Max Fried strikes out 13 in win over Boston
Max Fried allowed three runs (two earned) on four hits in seven innings in a win over the Red Sox.

Advice: Fried also struck out 13 on the day while walking just one. He did give up a home run to Dominic Smith, but it was the only extra-base hit he allowed in the game. He got 21 whiffs on 50 swings for an impressive 42 percent whiff rate and 40 percent CSW. This Red Sox lineup is clearly short-handed due to injuries, but Fried was masterful on Tuesday and now has a 2.93 ERA on the year. He should be in line for another good start against the Nationals this weekend. Rotoworld Tuesday, 7:25 pm

    • Career day against BoSox
Fried (6-2) picked up the win Tuesday against Boston, allowing three runs (two earned) on four hits and a walk across seven innings. He struck out 13.

Advice: Fried recorded a career-high number of strikeouts Tuesday, surpassing 10 Ks for the first time since 2019. The southpaw yielded his first long ball in five starts, as lefty-hitting Dominic Smith launched a solo homer in the third inning. Fried has logged a quality start in six of his last eight outings, a stretch in which he owns a 1.57 ERA and a 55:13 K:BB over 57.1 innings. He's scheduled to face the Nationals in Washington on Sunday. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 7:07 pm

    • Ryan Pepiot has quality start in win
Ryan Pepiot allowed three runs on six hits in six innings in a win over the Marlins on Tuesday.

Advice: Pepiot struck out eight and walked none and now has 15 strikeouts over 11 2/3 innings over his last two starts. The 26-year-old earned 13 whiffs on his four-seam fastball and 17 whiffs overall on 52 swings for a 33 percent whiff rate and 29 percent CSW. His first season in Tampa Bay has been a success thanks in part to better fastball usage up in the zone. He’ll carry a 3.96 ERA into a tough start against the Orioles next week. • Bailey Ober struggles in loss to Yankees
Bailey Ober gave up three runs over five innings on Tuesday in a loss to the Yankees.

Advice: Ober was tagged for just three hits over five frames, but a solo homer from Gleyber Torres and two-run double by Aaron Judge were enough to saddle him with a loss in a matchup against Yankees emerging start Luis Gil. He finished with a pair of strikeouts and also issued four walks. He’ll bring a pedestrian 4.94 ERA, 1.13 WHIP and 60/16 K/BB ratio across 62 innings (12 starts) into a road matchup on Sunday against the Pirates. Rotoworld Tuesday, 6:40 pm

    • Zach Eflin (back) to start Wednesday vs. Marlins
Zach Eflin (back) will start on Wednesday against the Marlins.

Advice: It’s a soft landing spot for Eflin as he draws the starting assignment for Wednesday’s series finale against a light-hitting Marlins lineup that ranks 29th this season in runs scored. The 30-year-old righty has been on the shelf since late May due to lower back inflammation. Rotoworld Tuesday, 5:39 pm

    • Carlos Estévez perfect in ninth for save
Carlos Estévez threw a perfect ninth with a one-run lead for a save Monday against the Padres.

Advice: Following a pretty dreadful run in mid-May, Estévez has worked perfect innings in his last two appearances. Unfortunately, those were his only two appearances in the last 13 days, as the Angels simply aren’t a very good team right now. Rotoworld Monday, 9:19 pm

    • Notches ninth save
Estevez struck out one batter in a perfect ninth inning and earned a save over the Padres on Monday.

Advice: Estevez needed only 10 pitches to quickly finish off the 2-1 victory. He's given up one earned run over his last 6.1 innings, lowering his season ERA to 4.50 through 18 frames. Estevez has converted three straight save chances and is now nine for 12 in those situations this season. Rotowire.com Monday, 9:07 pm
