    • Craig Kimbrel earns 17th save
Craig Kimbrel struck out the side and walked one batter on Wednesday to nail down the save against the Guardians.

Advice: Kimbrel continues to drink from the fountain of youth. His 17th save snapped the Orioles’ losing streak and he has his highest strikeout rate since 2021. He is locked in as the closer in Baltimore. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:12 pm
    • George Kirby flummoxes Rays over six frames in win
George Kirby struck out seven and allowed one run over six innings on Wednesday in a win over the Rays.

Advice: Kirby coughed up an early run-scoring single to Yandy Díaz, but managed to keep Tampa Bay’s lineup quiet from the third inning onwards to net his seventh win of the season. He induced 13 swinging strikes, including six on his four-seam fastball, and finished with a pedestrian 28 percent CSW. Of course, he also didn’t hand out a free pass in this one. It wasn’t his most dominant effort of the season, but was more than enough to lead Seattle to a much-needed win. The 26-year-old righty has allowed two earned runs or fewer in six consecutive starts dating back to May 29. He’ll carry a strong 3.35 ERA, 0.97 WHIP and 96/9 K/BB ratio across 99 1/3 innings (17 starts) into a tough come outing on Wednesday against the Orioles. Rotoworld Yesterday, 1:21 pm
    • Luke Raley scratched due to sore shoulder
Luke Raley didn’t play Wednesday due to a sore shoulder, the Mariners finally disclosed.

Advice: They could have said this when they scratched him before the game, but that’s no fun. Manager Scott Servais hopes to have Raley back Friday after the off day tomorrow. Rotoworld Yesterday, 12:38 pm

    • Misses game with sore shoulder
Mariners manager Scott Servais said Raley was scratched from the lineup ahead of Wednesday's 5-2 win over the Rays due to a sore shoulder, Ryan Divish of The Seattle Times reports.

Advice: Raley had been slated to start in left field, but the Mariners dropped him from the lineup after his shoulder wouldn't fully loosen up on him in the batting cage prior to the game. The Mariners don't seem to be too concerned about the issue, as Servais said he's hopeful that Raley will be ready to go for this weekend's series versus Minnesota following Thursday's team off day, per Shannon Drayer of SeattleSports.com. • Drives in two, steals base
Crawford went 2-for-3 with a double, two RBI, a walk, and a stolen base in Wednesday's 5-2 win against Tampa Bay.

Advice: Crawford had an all-around showing Wednesday, reaching base three times and picking up his third stolen base of the season. The three steals are already more than he had all of last season. The 29-year-old extended his hitting streak to a season-best seven games. Since his return from the IL, he's started every game at the leadoff spot and is trending upward despite the .217/.315/.371 slash line. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 12:29 pm
    • Sharp in seventh win
Kirby (7-5) allowed one run on four hits while striking out seven over six innings to earn the win Wednesday over the Rays.

Advice: Kirby had his way with the Rays on Wednesday as he managed to get through six innings for his third win in his last five starts. Kirby has been on a tear, allowing two runs or less in six consecutive starts, posting a 1.70 ERA with three walks and 40 strikeouts in that span. He has the third best ERA in MLB since May and he'll look to keep it going in a tough matchup vs. the Orioles next week. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 12:13 pm
    • Takes batting practice Wednesday
Bogaerts (shoulder) took batting practice on the field Wednesday, AJ Cassavell of MLB.com reports.

Advice: The Padres haven't divulged a potential timeline for Bogaerts' return from the 10-day injured list, but his ability to take on-field BP for the first time since suffering a fracture in his left shoulder in late May represents a major milestone in the recovery process. A clearer target date for Bogaerts' return could come into focus in the next few weeks once he resumes running and taking reps in the infield. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:22 am

    • Luke Raley scratched from Mariners lineup
Luke Raley was scratched from Wednesday’s lineup for the game against the Rays.

Advice: No word yet on why Raley won’t play versus his former team. Ryan Bliss entered the lineup in his place, with Dylan Moore moving from second base to left field. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:31 am

    • Scratched for series finale
The Mariners scratched Raley from the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Rays for an unspecified reason, Daniel Kramer of MLB.com reports.

Advice: The team will likely provide an explanation for Raley's late scratch later Wednesday. Ryan Bliss will enter the lineup as a replacement for Raley, covering second base while Dylan Moore covers Raley's spot in left field. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:28 am
