    • Yimi Garcia picks up save despite allowing two runs
Yimi Garcia was credited with a save even after allowing two runs Thursday to the Orioles.

Advice: Garcia was handed a three-run cushion, and he needed it. He allowed a two-run homer to Ryan O’Hearn, but was able to limit the damage to just that roundtripper while picking up his fourth save of the year. He also struck out two, and Garcia’s ERA is still an outstanding 2.16 even with the homer. Rotoworld Thursday, 12:37 pm

    • Nabs second win
Garcia (2-0) picked up the win Wednesday over the Orioles, striking out two in a perfect ninth inning.

Advice: The right-hander needed only 10 pitches (eight strikes) to dispatch Baltimore's 6-7-8 hitters in the ninth, and Garcia got rewarded when Isiah Kiner-Falefa hit a walk-off single in the bottom of the frame. Garcia has recorded a win (one), save (one) or hold (five) in seven of 10 appearances over the last month, posting a 2.53 ERA, 0.94 WHIP and 15:4 K:BB in 10.2 innings during that stretch. He'll continue to serve as the Blue Jays' primary closer until Jordan Romano (elbow) returns from the injured list. Rotowire.com Thursday, 8:32 am

    • Taking seat Thursday
Fry is out of the lineup for Thursday's game against the Blue Jays.

Advice: Fry will take a seat for Thursday's series finale, as he had been scheduled to head to the bench Wednesday before that game was postponed due to inclement weather. Though his 1.092 OPS on the season ranks first in the majors among all players with at least 140 plate appearances, Fry still hasn't quite locked down a full-time role in Cleveland. He'll be out of the lineup for the second time in three games while the Guardians go with Bo Naylor at catcher and Kyle Manzardo at designated hitter. Rotowire.com Thursday, 7:20 am

    • Continues solid pitching as starter
Suarez allowed two runs on five hits and one walk while striking out four batters over five innings in a no-decision against Toronto on Wednesday.

Advice: Suarez remained in the rotation for a third straight start and did a good job of keeping Baltimore in the contest with five strong frames. The only damage against him came in the second inning, when he surrendered two runs -- twice as many as he had allowed in his previous two starts combined. Suarez has posted a 1.93 ERA across 14 innings since rejoining the Orioles rotation May 25. He figures to get at least one more start, and possibly more, since Dean Kremer (triceps) has not yet begun a rehab assignment. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 10:39 pm

    • Keeps raking
Bell went 3-for-4 with an RBI during Wednesday's 5-3 loss to the Rays.

Advice: Bell has generated at least one hit in eight consecutive contests, with Wednesday's performance his third three-hit game during that span. The first baseman drove in Vidal Brujan on a fifth-inning single, marking Bell's 30th RBI of the campaign. Through 262 plate appearances, Bell owns a .716 OPS and a 19.1 percent strikeout rate, down from 21.8 percent in 2023. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 10:34 pm

    • Strikes out seven Wednesday
Fedde allowed three runs on six hits and struck out seven without issuing a walk over five innings in a no-decision versus the Cubs on Wednesday.

Advice: Fedde left the game in line for the win until the Cubs rallied ahead in the seventh inning. He had quality starts in four of his six outings in May, but he's given up seven runs over his last 10 innings across two starts. Fedde is at a 3.27 ERA, 1.18 WHIP and 73:22 K:BB through 74.1 innings over 13 starts this season. The right-hander is projected to make his next start at Seattle. • Improves to 6-0
Neris (6-0) worked around a walk to toss a scoreless ninth inning and earn the win in Wednesday's 7-6 victory over the White Sox. He struck out two.

Advice: Neris found himself in a similar spot to Tuesday night, when he managed to shut the White Sox down and earn the save. In each game, speedy pinch runner Duke Ellis swiped second base to apply some pressure, but the veteran reliever escaped without allowing any runs both times. Neris isn't missing many bats, as his K/9 is down from 10.1 last season to 7.8 this year, but he's still been effective. Neris should have plenty of fantasy value as long as he remains the closer in Chicago. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 8:26 pm

    • Yimi García winds up with victory in relief
Yimi García was credited with a victory after pitching a scoreless top of the ninth in a tie game Wednesday versus the Orioles.

Advice: García is the clear favorite for saves in the Toronto pen with Jordan Romano sidelined, but the Jays didn’t hold him back for the 10th or 11th tonight. He now has two wins and three saves to go along with his 1.50 ERA in 24 innings. Rotoworld Wednesday, 8:18 pm

    • Albert Suarez solid for five in no-decision
Albert Suárez pitched five innings of two-run ball Wednesday against the Blue Jays.

Advice: Suárez was uninvolved in the decision after exiting a 2-2 game. He’s made six starts for the Orioles this year, and while he hasn’t completed six innings in any of them, he’s allowed more than two runs just once. He’ll definitely be tested next week, as he’s due to make home starts against the Braves and Phillies. Rotoworld Wednesday, 8:18 pm
