      Nolan Jones (back, knee) began a minor league rehab assignment at Triple-A Albuquerque on Sunday.

      Advice: The dynamic 26-year-old outfielder went 0-for-2 with a walk and was hit by a pitch in the contest. He should only need a few games to get his timing back before becoming an option to rejoin the Rockies’ lineup. Prior to landing on the injured list, Jones had struggled to a .170/.243/.277 slash line through his first 26 games with only one home run, seven RBI and a pair of stolen bases.       Jones (knee) began a new rehab assignment with Triple-A Albuquerque on Sunday, MLB.com reports.

      Advice: Jones originally landed on the injured list April 30 with a back issue, but he then injured his knee during his original rehab assignment. It's now the latter issue that is keeping him sidelined, though he played with Albuquerque on Sunday and went 0-for-2 with a walk while also being hit with a pitch and serving as the designated hitter.     • Jung Hoo Lee to undergo shoulder surgery next week
      Jung Hoo Lee will undergo shoulder surgery on Tuesday.

      Advice: Lee will undergo the season-ending procedure early next week in Los Angeles with Dr. Neal ElAttrache. The 25-year-old center fielder suffered structural damage in his shoulder back in mid-May when he collided with the center-field wall at Oracle Park.     • Set for surgery Tuesday
      Lee (shoulder) will undergo surgery Tuesday, Alex Pavlovic of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.

      Advice: The procedure will address the torn labrum in Lee's left shoulder, which he sustained May 12 against the Reds.
