    • Shifted to 60-day IL
The Rangers transferred Winn (shoulder) from the 15-day injured list to the 60-day IL on Wednesday.

Advice: Winn was placed on the 15-day IL earlier this week with what was referred to as right shoulder discomfort, but the Rangers are now classifying the injury as a sprained shoulder capsule. The expectation is that he will be sidelined for eight weeks, per Shawn McFarland of The Dallas Morning News. Rotowire.com Today, 9:21 am

    • Cole Winn moved to 60-day IL by Rangers
Rangers transferred RHP Cole Winn from the 15-day to the 60-day injured list due to a right shoulder sprain.

Advice: Winn complained of shoulder soreness after being sent down to Triple-A last week, causing the Rangers to void his option and put him on the major league IL. He’ll miss at least two months now. Rotoworld Today, 9:17 am

    • Rangers designate Yerry Rodríguez for assignment
Rangers designated RHP Yerry Rodríguez for assignment.

Advice: Rodríguez, 26, looked like he might turn into a quality reliever a couple of years ago, but he has a 7.11 ERA and a 28/17 K/BB in 31 2/3 innings for the Rangers since making his major league debut in 2022, and his minor league numbers haven’t been very good, either. With his velocity having declined some, it’s possible he’ll clear waivers. Still, since he can be stashed in Triple-A, it seems more likely that a rebuilding club will give him a look. • Scoreless frame in rehab debut
Muller (shoulder) fired a scoreless inning during Triple-A Las Vegas' win over Sacramento on Tuesday, allowing a hit and recording a strikeout.

Advice: Muller kicked off his rehab assignment in solid fashion, successfully working around a single and getting through his one frame on 10 pitches. The left-hander is due to make multiple appearances for the Aviators before activation is considered, although he may not need more than a couple of more outings considering he won't need to build up much as a result of his relief role. • Throws bullpen Tuesday
Stripling (elbow) was able to complete a bullpen session before Tuesday's game against the Angels and is set to throw another Saturday, MLB.com reports.

Advice: The veteran right-hander came away feeling healthy from Tuesday's activity, and he's expected to throw 30-35 pitches in his session Saturday. Assuming that bullpen also goes off without a hitch, Stripling could be deemed ready to face hitters at some point during the subsequent week. Rotowire.com Today, 8:47 am

    • Tigers return Easton Lucas to Triple-A

    • Dropped from 40-man roster again
The Marlins designated Emanuel for assignment Wednesday.

Advice: Emanuel will move off Miami's 40-man roster for the fourth time this season, with the Marlins giving him spot to right-hander Valente Bellozo, who was called up from Triple-A Jacksonville to start Wednesday's game in Kansas City. During his three stints in the majors this season, Emanuel has made five relief appearances and has given up seven earned runs over 9.1 innings. Rotowire.com Today, 8:41 am
    • Picks up first career MLB win
Nunez (1-0) gave up an unearned run on one hit and struck out two over 2.2 relief innings Tuesday to record the win over the Yankees.

Advice: The right-hander fired 21 of 28 pitches for strikes and didn't walk a batter after taking over from David Peterson in the fifth inning with the Mets ahead 6-1, eventually getting credited with his first career win in the majors. Nunez has been outstanding since his promotion in late May, delivering a 1.80 ERA, 0.53 WHIP and 19:1 K:BB through 15 innings and emerging as a key figure in the team's bullpen.
