    • Stuck with tough loss Saturday
Woods Richardson (2-1) took the loss Saturday as the Twins were downed 4-0 by the Pirates, allowing one run on six hits over 6.1 innings. He struck out six.

Advice: The right-hander put together one of his best performances of the season, blanking the Bucs until serving up a solo shot to Rowdy Tellez in the seventh inning, but Woods Richardson got no run support at all. He recorded 17 swinging strikes among 97 pitches en route to his third quality starts among 10 trips to the mound in the majors this season. Woods Richardson will take a 2.84 ERA, 1.09 WHIP and 42:11 K:BB through 50.2 innings into his next outing, which lines up to come at home next week against the A's. Rotowire.com Today, 5:27 pm
    • Struggles in no-decision
Peralta did not factor into the decision Saturday against the Tigers, allowing four runs (three earned) on four hits and five walks while striking out three over 3.1 innings.

Advice: Peralta had issues with his command Saturday, with the five walks being tied for his second most this season. He threw 94 pitches to retire just 10 batters as he found himself in constant trouble with a lot of traffic on the bases. It was the 28-year-old's shortest outing yet in 2024 and represents the latest bump in the road after Peralta got off to a strong start to the season. Rotowire.com Today, 5:24 pm

    • Throws on flat ground, bullpen next
Gallen (hamstring) threw a flat-ground session Saturday and is expected to throw a bullpen soon, Jesse Friedman of GoPHNX.com reports.

Advice: Gallen was cleared for throwing June 3 and was able to complete a flat-ground session Saturday. The next box for Gallen to check in his recovery from a right hamstring strain would be a bullpen, which should occur in the coming days. Gallen will be eligible to return from the injured list June 15, though it's unclear if he'll be ready by then. Rotowire.com Today, 5:18 pm

    • Bello gives up five runs, grand slam Saturday
Brayan Bello allowed five runs in 4 2/3 innings and took the loss against the White Sox on Saturday.

Advice: Bello gave up nine hits, walked three and struck out two. Things came apart for Bello in the fifth inning when he walked two batters with two outs to load the bases before Gavin Sheets took him deep for a grand slam. Understandably frustrated, Bello slammed his glove in the dugout after he was removed from the game. That’s been the tale of Bello’s season so far as he has just a 70 percent left on base percentage. His ERA is inflated at 4.78 while his xFIP paints a different picture at 3.66. The 25-year-old right-hander is set to face the Yankees at home next week. Rotoworld Today, 5:09 pm

    • Zac Gallen (hamstring) throws off of flat ground
Zac Gallen (hamstring) threw off of flat ground without any issues on Saturday.

Advice: As long as he rebounds fine from that session, he’ll be cleared to throw a bullpen session. Gallen has been shelved since May 31 due to a Grade 1 right hamstring strain. It remains unclear if he’ll require a minor league rehab start or not before rejoining the Diamondbacks’ rotation. Rotoworld Today, 5:04 pm

    • Nastrini allows one run in no-decision Saturday
Nick Nastrini allowed one run in 4 1/3 innings and got a no-decision in the White Sox’ 6-1 victory over the Red Sox on Saturday.

Advice: Nastrini gave up two hits, walked five and struck out five. He didn’t qualify for the win because he didn’t complete the requisite five innings. Nastrini has completed five innings in only two of his six starts and is yet to win a game this year. He has an 8.39 ERA and remains off the fantasy radar. The 24-year-old right-hander is set to face the Mariners on the road next week.

    • Exits start with injury
Perales was removed from Saturday's start at Double-A Portland with an injury to his throwing arm, Geoff Pontes of Baseball America reports.

Advice: Perales stepped off the mound after throwing a pitch and was hanging his throwing arm. He was visited by a trainer for a brief moment before exiting to the dugout. Saturday's outing was just Perales' second at Double-A and he tossed five scoreless innings with seven punchouts in his Portland debut. An update on his status should come later this week. • Clayton Kershaw tabbed for one more simulated game
Clayton Kershaw (shoulder) is scheduled to throw one more three-inning simulated game before beginning a minor league rehab assignment.

Advice: Kershaw threw a two-inning simulated game at Single-A Rancho Cucamonga on Friday without any issue, touching 90 mph during the session. If all goes well with his next simulated game, he would then be cleared to start a minor league rehab assignment. He still looks to be on track for a return around the All-Star break. • Sharp in return
Gray allowed one hit and one walk while striking out four over 2.1 scoreless innings in Saturday's 3-1 loss to the Giants.

Advice: Gray appeared in relief of Andrew Heaney on Saturday in his first appearance since May 21, after he was placed on the IL with a groin strain. The right-hander certainly looked healthy, as he struck out four of the nine batters he faced. Overall, Gray is 2-2 with a 2.12 ERA, 1.18 WHIP and 60:18 K:BB across 59.1 innings this year. He's currently scheduled to rejoin the rotation next week on the road versus the Dodgers. Rotowire.com Today, 4:46 pm
