    • Pete Fairbanks exits after comebacker hits hand
      Pete Fairbanks left Tuesday’s game in the ninth inning after taking a comebacker off his hand.

      Kirby Yates took his first loss after giving up an unearned run in the ninth Tuesday against the Mets.

      Advice: José Leclerc’s inability to get the job done in the seventh stressed the Rangers bullpen tonight. David Roberson had to get the final two outs of that inning and then wound up giving up two runs in the eighth on his 30th pitch of the night. Yates came into a tie game in the ninth and gave up the go-ahead run on a walk, a catcher’s interference and a double. The catcher’s interference was provided by J.D.     • Jansen picks up 13th save in win over Blue Jays
      Kenley Jansen pitched a scoreless ninth in Tuesday’s win over the Blue Jays.

      Advice: Jansen has now picked up saves in back-to-back days and has recorded four saves in the month of June. The hard-throwing righty has allowed one run in his last 6 1/3 innings pitched while striking out eight batters to just one walk. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:48 pm
       
    • Michael King struggles with command on Tuesday
      Michael King allowed one run on six hits in 4 2/3 innings in a no-decision against the Phillies.

      Advice: The right-hander struck out six but also walked three on the day and needed 100 pitches to get through his 4 2/3 innings. He did induce 12 whiffs on 47 swings for a 27 percent whiff rate and 27 percent CSW but he also had just a 44 percent zone rate on the night. King has been missing plenty of bats in his first season as a full-time starter, but the consistency hasn’t quite been there. Still, fantasy mangers are not upset about a 3.49 ERA and he remains a solid start this weekend against the Brewers. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:40 pm
       
    • Andrés Muñoz locks down save in win
      Andrés Muñoz pitched 1 2/3 scoreless innings to lock down the Mariners’ 8-5 win over the Guardians on Tuesday.

      Advice: The Mariners brought Muñoz in with the bases loaded with one out in the eighth inning and the Mariners up by four runs. He got a groundout which allowed one run to score but then induced another groundout to end the threat. The 25-year-old has battled through back injuries all season but still has a 1.47 ERA and now has 13 saves. The biggest threat to his value appears to simply be that the Mariners have no problem bringing him in before the ninth inning which will sometimes prevent him from earning saves.       Jansen recorded one out to earn a save over the Blue Jays on Monday.

      Advice: Jansen entered the ninth inning with two runners on base and two outs. He forced a Davis Schneider popout to close out the 7-3 win and pick up the save.       Fairbanks worked a scoreless ninth to earn the save Sunday against Atlanta. He walked one and struck out two.

      Advice: Fairbanks worked around a leadoff walk in the ninth, striking out Ozzie Albies to secure his 10th save in 11 opportunities. Fairbanks' performance came on the heels of him allowing his first earned run since mid-April on Saturday, a span of 15 outings.       Pete Fairbanks struck out two and walked one en route to his 10th save of the season on Sunday.

      Advice: Fairbanks has been solid since returning from the IL last month with six saves in as many chances. It’s worth keeping an eye on his walk rate though as it’s inched up over 12%, the highest mark of his career. Rotoworld Sunday, 1:27 pm

      Jansen pitched 1.1 perfect innings to earn the save in Saturday's 8-4 win over the Yankees.

      Advice: Greg Weissert was shaky in the eighth inning, but Jansen was able to get the last out of the frame with runners on the corners. The Red Sox added some insurance in the bottom of the eighth, and Jansen slammed the door in the ninth. The right-hander is up to 11 saves this season, though he has picked up just two of them over four appearances in June.
