    • Logs three hits in loss
Naylor went 3-for-4 with a double in Sunday's 6-2 loss to the Royals.

Advice: Naylor has a pair of three-hit efforts over his last five games, but he went 0-for-7 with a walk and three strikeouts in between those contests. The catcher has started to show a bit more life with the bat, hitting .286 (14-for-49) with eight extra-base hits over 16 contests in June, though he also struck out 15 times. Naylor's at a .207/.274/.335 slash line with four home runs, 17 RBI, 22 runs scored, one stolen base, nine doubles and one triple through 197 plate appearances this year. His playing time has rebounded after dipping in late May and early June, but Naylor will need to continue to make a good effort with David Fry around to poach starts behind the dish. • Allows seven runs in loss
Gausman (6-7) suffered the loss Sunday, allowing seven runs on seven hits, five walks and a hit batsman against the Yankees. He struck out seven.

Advice: Gausman needed 107 pitches to record 13 outs, allowing season highs in runs (seven) and walks (five) while being tagged for three extra-base hits including a first-inning Aaron Judge two-run blast. Gausman did strike out seven batters to represent the fourth time this season he's reached at least seven in an outing, but that's nothing more than a minor silver lining around Sunday's ugly performance. It's the fifth time this season Gausman has allowed at least five runs in a start, and he closes the month of June with a 5.64 ERA over 36.2 innings spanning six starts. His next start is tentatively slated for when the Blue Jays head west to take on the Mariners in Seattle next weekend. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 2:57 pm

    • Ramirez drives in run in loss to Royals Sunday
Jose Ramirez went 1-for-4 with a run scored, a double and an RBI against the Royals on Sunday.

Advice: Ramirez hit an RBI double in the eighth inning to make it 6-1 Royals and scored on Josh Naylor’s RBI single to give us the final score of 6-2. Ramirez continues his ridiculous RBI pace as he now has 76 RBI on the season. Rotoworld Yesterday, 2:17 pm
    • Kevin Gausman loses, struggles again
Kevin Gausman allowed seven runs in just 4 1/3 innings on Sunday against the Yankees. He walked five and struck out seven in a loss.

Advice: Gausman just hasn’t been right all year. Aaron Judge crushed a first-inning fastball that wasn’t up-and-in enough and the Yankees kept traffic on the bases seemingly every inning. His tried and true game plan of fastballs and splitters does not have the same potency it used to as his fastball velocity has dipped and hitters don’t chase or whiff on that splitter like they once did. • Getting rest Sunday
Smith is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Giants.

Advice: Smith will get a day off after he had started in five of the Dodgers' previous six contests. Austin Barnes will check in for Smith behind the dish and will bat ninth. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:22 am

    • Keeps power surge going
Ramirez went 2-for-5 with a solo home run, an RBI double and two total runs scored in Saturday's 7-2 win over the Royals.

Advice: Ramirez has already had a strong first half of the campaign, but he's been especially impressive lately. Over his last 12 games, he's batting .340 (17-for-50) with five homers, four stolen bases, 13 RBI and 13 runs scored. He's now hitting .280 on the year with an .890 OPS, 23 homers, 75 RBI, 64 runs scored and 15 steals. He's on pace to return to the 30-homer mark for the first time since 2021, and he could have a chance to challenge for his first 40-homer campaign. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:02 am
    • Sitting again Sunday
McCormick is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Mets, Brian McTaggart of MLB.com reports.

Advice: McCormick will sit Sunday for the second straight game, and he has gone 1-for-11 over his past five contests. Trey Cabbage will start in right field and bat ninth in the series finale at New York. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:01 am

    • Guardians demote McKenzie, activate Williams
Guardians optioned RHP Triston McKenzie to Triple-A Columbus.

Advice: McKenzie gets the boot with the Guardians bringing Gavin Williams (elbow) off the 60-day injured list to make his season debut this week. McKenzie has been awful on the mound as of late while allowing 12 earned runs and walking 11 over his last three starts. There’s still plenty of reason for long-term optimism as a 26-year-old who has had as much success as he’s had, but fantasy managers should look elsewhere for help in their rotation at this point. • Demoted to Triple-A
The Guardians optioned McKenzie to Triple-A Columbus on Sunday, Mandy Bell of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Through the first three months of the 2024 season, the historically injury prone McKenzie has enjoyed a clean bill of health, but he's performed well below expectations for both the Guardians and fantasy managers alike. After failing to escape the third inning while giving up five earned runs in his most recent start Friday in Kansas City, McKenzie now holds a 5.11 ERA and 1.56 WHIP over 75.2 innings on the season. The Guardians will send the right-hander to the minors with the hope that he'll be able to return to form and eventually slot back into the big-league rotation. Gavin Williams (elbow) was reinstated from the 60-day injured list and will fill McKenzie's spot in the rotation during the upcoming week. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:52 am
