    • Gets breather Tuesday
Kim is not in the lineup for Tuesday's contest in Philadelphia.

Advice: It's just the second day off this season for Kim, who is just 4-for-22 across his last eight games. Tyler Wade will receive a start at shortstop Tuesday. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 1:07 pm

    • First day off
Tatis is not in the lineup for Tuesday's game in Philadelphia.

Advice: It's the first day off this season for Tatis, who had made 75 starts in right field and one start at designated hitter coming into action Tuesday. David Peralta will play right field in this one, while Jake Cronenworth will move up to the second spot in the batting order. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 1:04 pm
    • Without timeline for return
Carpenter hasn't resumed baseball activities since being diagnosed with a lumbar spine stress fracture in late May, Cody Stavenhagen of The Athletic reports.

Advice: Carpenter was placed on the 10-day injured list May 29 with lumbar spine inflammation, only for his diagnosis to change a couple days later once he underwent further testing. Three weeks after landing on the shelf, Carpenter remains limited to doing what manager A.J. Hinch described as therapy work, so the 26-year-old still looks to be at least a couple weeks away from being ready for game action. During Carpenter's ongoing absence, Matt Vierling has taken hold of a full-time role in the outfield, and Justyn-Henry Malloy has settled in as the Tigers' primary designated hitter. • Belts game-winning homer
Estrada went 2-for-3 with a home run, a walk and four total RBI in Monday's 7-6 win against the Cubs.

Advice: Estrada was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded in the top of the seventh inning to give San Francisco its first lead, though Chicago quickly re-took the lead in the bottom of the frame. The Giants remained behind until the ninth, when Estrada blasted a three-run homer that proved to be the game-winning hit. The long ball snapped a 20-game homerless stretch for the infielder. With nine home runs on the season, Estrada is five away from tying his career-high mark. Rotowire.com Monday, 10:33 pm

    • Records 15th save
Bednar pitched a perfect ninth inning to pick up the save against the Reds in Monday's 4-1 win.

Advice: After serving up homers in each of his last two appearances, Bednar got back on track with a clean frame Monday. Bednar had a disastrous start to the season with 14 earned runs allowed in his first 13 outings, but he's turned it around with a 1.88 ERA over his last 19.1 innings. Despite the 5.34 ERA for the season, Bednar remains one of the better late-inning options, as his 15 saves are tied for eighth most in the majors. Rotowire.com Monday, 7:55 pm
    • David Bednar silences Reds to notch 15th save
David Bednar tossed a perfect frame on Monday against the Reds to record his 15th save of the season.

Advice: Bednar was summoned to protect a three-run lead in the final frame and required just 11 pitches (eight strikes) to spin a flawless frame. It was a nice rebound effort for the 29-year-old stopper after giving up solo homers in each of his previous two appearances. He’s converted 15 of his 18 save opportunities on the year. • Riley smacks two doubles in win over Tigers Monday
Austin Riley went 2-for-3 with two doubles and a run scored against the Tigers on Monday.

Advice: Riley is now 8-for-13 (.615) with three doubles, three home runs, eight RBI and two walks over his last four games. He’s had a down season so far, but seems to be pulling out of it. Riley’s average is up to .243 with a .712 OPS on the year. Rotoworld Monday, 6:59 pm
    • Sitting out Monday
McMahon is out of the lineup for Monday's contest against the Dodgers.

Advice: The lefty-hitting McMahon is getting just his third day off of the season with a left-hander (James Paxton) on the mound for the Dodgers. Alan Trejo will step in at third base in place of McMahon, who has started to heat back up over the past week with seven hits -- including two home runs -- in his last 20 at-bats. • Power surge continues
Riley went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run and a second run scored in Sunday's loss to the Rays.

Advice: The third baseman erupted out of a slump to homer in three straight games against Tampa Bay, racking up six hits and eight RBI in the three-games weekend series. Even with the power surge, Riley has only six home runs and 28 RBI on the season, but he's topped 30 homers and 90 RBI in each of the past three seasons. The 27-year-old is capable of going on a tear that would have him back on his usual pace before the end of June. Rotowire.com Monday, 8:35 am
