    • Ends power drought
Yelich went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Tuesday's 6-3 win over the Angels.

Advice: Yelich opened the scoring with a first-inning homer, his first long ball since May 29. Power's been the only thing missing for the veteran outfielder in June -- he's batting .322 (19-for-59) this month, but with just two extra-base hits and five RBI over 16 contests. For the year, Yelich is slashing .324/.400/.506 with seven homers, 32 RBI, 25 runs scored and 14 stolen bases over 200 plate appearances in what's shaping up to be his best campaign since 2019. • Sal Frelick scores twice, makes game-saving catch
Sal Frelick went 2-for-3 with a double, a walk and two runs scored against the Angels on Tuesday.

Advice: Even more importantly, he robbed Taylor Ward of what appeared to be a game-tying homer in the ninth. With Gerritt Mitchell getting close to returning, it’s appeared for these last couple of weeks that one of Frelick or Jackson Chourio was going to get sent down to Triple-A before the end of June. Chourio has really picked it up offensively this month, while Frelick, at .250/.298/.273 in June, has continued to struggle. Frelick, though, does have the clear edge defensively, if that counts. It’s also notable that the Brewers picked both Frelick and Chourio over Blake Perkins for the NL All-Star ballot, even though Perkins has obviously been more effective than the other two so far. It’ll be interesting to see how the Brewers choose to handle things when Mitchell is activated. Rotoworld Yesterday, 10:20 pm

    • Posts five-out save
Munoz earned the save Tuesday in an 8-5 win over Cleveland, allowing one hit while striking out one over 1.2 innings.

Advice: The Mariners turned to Munoz after Trent Thornton loaded the bases in the eighth. Munoz would proceed to coax a pair of groundouts to get out of the inning before turning in a scoreless ninth, earning his 13th save of the campaign and his third of four or more outs. The 25-year-old Munoz lowered his ERA to a pristine 1.47 this season with a 0.95 WHIP and 42:10 K:BB across 30.2 innings. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:01 pm
    • Andrés Muñoz locks down save in win
Andrés Muñoz pitched 1 2/3 scoreless innings to lock down the Mariners’ 8-5 win over the Guardians on Tuesday.

Advice: The Mariners brought Muñoz in with the bases loaded with one out in the eighth inning and the Mariners up by four runs. He got a groundout which allowed one run to score but then induced another groundout to end the threat. The 25-year-old has battled through back injuries all season but still has a 1.47 ERA and now has 13 saves. The biggest threat to his value appears to simply be that the Mariners have no problem bringing him in before the ninth inning which will sometimes prevent him from earning saves. • Alex Lange to undergo lat surgery next week
Alex Lange is scheduled to undergo surgery next week for a right lat avulsion.

Advice: Lange was optioned to the minors last month after a bizarre incident on the mound during a relief appearance when he hurled a baseball into the protective netting above Detroit’s dugout in a moment of frustration. His season is most likely over. Rotoworld Yesterday, 3:06 pm

    • Set for surgery
Lange (upper body) suffered a right lat avulsion and is scheduled to undergo surgery next week, Evan Petzold of the Detroit Free Press reports.

Advice: Lange recently suffered an upper-body injury in his appearance with Triple-A Toledo on Friday, which is now understood to be a right lat injury. The 28-year-old opened the 2024 campaign in Detroit's major-league bullpen before being sent down in late May, compiling a 4.34 ERA and 1.77 WHIP with 21 strikeouts over 18.2 innings in 21 appearances with the Tigers. An exact timetable for Lange's return will likely be provided following the surgery, but he's set to be placed on the minor-league injured list in the near future. • Ha-Seong Kim draws rare day off on Tuesday night
Ha-Seong Kim is not in the lineup for Tuesday’s game against the Phillies.

Advice: It’s an extremely rare day off for Kim, who has started every game for San Diego since May 23. The 28-year-old is struggling a little bit over the last few weeks, batting .213 (10-for-47) with two homers and six steals over his last 15 contests. It’ll be Tyler Wade drawing a rare start at shortstop on Tuesday evening against the Phillies. Rotoworld Yesterday, 1:14 pm

    • Fernando Tatis Jr. gets first day off this season
Fernando Tatis Jr. is not in the lineup for Tuesday’s showdown against the Phillies.

Advice: It’s an extremely rare off day for Tatis, who has appeared in all 76 contests this season for San Diego, despite playing through a minor quad issue over the last few weeks. The 25-year-old corner outfielder has hit a bit of a frosty stretch over the last few days at the dish, batting .185 (5-for-27) with one homer and 10 strikeouts over his last seven games. He’ll get a quick breather to rest and recover before returning for Wednesday afternoon’s series finale. Rotoworld Yesterday, 1:12 pm
    • Gets breather Tuesday
Kim is not in the lineup for Tuesday's contest in Philadelphia.

Advice: It's just the second day off this season for Kim, who is just 4-for-22 across his last eight games. Tyler Wade will receive a start at shortstop Tuesday. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 1:07 pm
