      Minter (hip) will begin a rehab assignment with High-A Rome on Saturday.

      Advice: Minter has been on the injured list since the end of May due to left hip inflammation, but he has now been given the green light to return to a competitive setting. It's unclear how long the 30-year-old southpaw will remain in the minors, but it shouldn't take long for him to build back up as a reliever. He currently owns a 2.95 ERA and 0.98 WHIP through 21.1 innings on the year, and he will likely reprise his role as Atlanta's main setup man upon returning to the big-league bullpen.       Advice: Altuve got hot early Friday; he singled and scored in the first inning before knocking an RBI double in the second. He capped off his day with another RBI double and another run scored during Houston's nine-run sixth inning. Altuve has caught fire after a lackluster May, producing a .995 OPS with 11 RBI over his last 12 games. His season slash line now sits at .301/.351/.460 with 27 extra-base hits and 45 runs scored.       Machado went 4-for-5 with a double, an RBI and two runs scored in Friday's 9-5 win over the Brewers.

      Advice: Machado has multiple hits in four of his last five games, going 10-for-21 in that span. The third baseman was batting just .240 at the start of June, but he's pushed that up to .263 with a .704 OPS, seven home runs, five stolen bases, 37 RBI and 32 runs scored across 72 contests this season.       Advice: Castro logged his fourth multi-hit effort in his last five games, with the lone exception being Thursday when he started the game on the bench.       Manny Machado went 4-for-5 with an RBI in a victory Friday over the Brewers.

      Advice: Machado and Jake Cronenworth were the offensive stars for the Padres on Friday; combining to go 9-for-10 in the four-run win.       Machado went 2-for-3 with a three-run home run and a walk in Thursday's win over Milwaukee.

      Advice: Machado jumped on a four-seamer from Bryse Wilson with two outs in the bottom of the first inning and sent it into the stands in right field to put San Diego up 3-1. The third baseman would also add a single, giving him his third multi-hit performance in his last four games.       Advice: Phillips cruised to the save on 11 pitches, punching out two of the three batters he faced. It was the fifth straight scoreless and hitless outing for the closer, who has allowed an earned run in only two of his 21 appearances this season.
