• Clutch homer Tuesday
Bohm went 1-for-5 with a solo home run in Tuesday's 2-1 win over the Brewers in 10 innings.

Advice: Bohm got the Phillies on the board in the eighth inning, leading off the frame with a 420-foot blast off Elvis Peguero to tie the game 1-1. It's the first homer since May 19 for Bohm -- he's gone just 11-for-57 (.193) since then following a red-hot start to the season. Overall, the 27-year-old third baseman is slashing .296/.350/.481 with six homers, 50 RBI, 29 runs scored and a pair of stolen bases across 61 games this season. Rotowire.com 19 minutes ago

  • Pops fifth homer
Torres went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in Tuesday's 5-1 win over the Twins.

Advice: He took Bailey Ober deep in the second inning to get the Yankees on the board, giving Torres his fifth long ball of the year. The second baseman has hit safely in five straight games and 10 of the last 11 as he shows signs of emerging from his season-long slump -- over that 11-game stretch he's slashing .297/.372/.514 with two doubles and two homers. • Rays option Justin Sterner to Triple-A
Rays optioned RHP Justin Sterner to Triple-A Durham.

Advice: Sterner pitched four innings in his five days with the Rays, allowing one earned run with a 4/1 K/BB ratio. That should put him in pretty good position to get the call next time the Rays need a bullpen arm. Rotoworld 20 minutes ago
  • Cruises to eighth win
Gil (8-1) picked up the win Tuesday, allowing one hit and three walks over six scoreless innings in a 5-1 victory over the Twins. He struck out six.

Advice: The 26-year-old didn't miss a beat after being named the American League Rookie and Pitcher of the Month for May. Gil extended his quality start streak to seven with the performance, and he's won all seven of those outings with an eye-popping 0.60 ERA, 0.67 WHIP and 50:15 K:BB through 44.2 innings. He'll look to keep rolling in his next start, which is scheduled to be a marquee matchup against the Dodgers in Yankee Stadium this weekend. Rotowire.com 22 minutes ago

  • Will be activated Wednesday
Red Sox chief baseball officer Craig Breslow confirmed that O'Neill (knee) will be activated from the 10-day injured list Wednesday, Gabrielle Starr of the Boston Herald reports.

Advice: O'Neill was hitless in a rehab game with Triple-A Worcester on Tuesday, but the most important thing is he came out of the contest with no concerns about his right knee, clearing the way for his return from the IL. It was just a minimum 10-day absence for O'Neill. Rotowire.com 23 minutes ago

  • Picks up save Tuesday
Saucedo earned the save in Tuesday's 4-3 win over the Athletics after coming in to get the final out of the game. He did walk a batter before ending things.

Advice: Saucedo was called upon to get the final out of the game after Andres Munoz was forced to depart with a lower-back injury that flared up after a collision at home plate. He was tasked with stranding a runner at second and walked JJ Bleday before handling a Brent Rooker ground ball to end the game. It was Saucedo's second save of the year, though he also has two blown saves to his name as well. The 31-year-old owns a 3.00 ERA, 1.27 WHIP and 15:7 K:BB in 15 innings. Rotowire.com 23 minutes ago
  • Crosses plate three times Tuesday
Winker went 1-for-2 with a walk, a stolen base and three runs scored in Tuesday's 6-3 loss to the Mets.

Advice: The steal actually came on a botched pickoff, as Mets starter David Peterson had Winker dead to rights but Pete Alonso couldn't handle the pitcher's throw to first. It still goes into the books as Winker's 11th stolen base of the season, an incredible number considering he came into the year just 3-for-6 on the basepaths over 610 career big-league games. The 30-year-old outfielder is also locked in at the plate right now, batting .343 (12-for-35) with a .429 OBP over the last 11 contests, but his only extra-base hit among those dozen knocks is a double. • Secures save No. 10
Estevez picked up the save in Tuesday's 4-2 win over the Padres while pitching a perfect ninth inning.

Advice: Estevez needed just nine pitches to retire the side for his second save in as many days. He has not allowed a baserunner in each of his last three appearances and becomes the 16th pitcher to reach double-digit saves this year. The 31-year-old now owns a 4.26 ERA, 1.05 WHIP and 18:3 K:BB in 19 innings this year. Rotowire.com 35 minutes ago
  • On base four times in return
Young went 3-for-3 with a walk and two RBI in Tuesday's 6-3 loss to the Mets.

Advice: The center fielder had missed the prior two games due to swelling in his throwing hand, but Young was the Nationals' most effective offensive weapon in his return, collecting half of the team's six hits on the night. The 24-year-old offers basically no power -- his last extra-base hit was a double on May 19 -- but through 49 games this season he's batting .282 with 17 steals, 25 runs and 16 RBI.
