    • Racks up three hits from atop order
Ohtani went 3-for-5 with two doubles, two runs, an RBI, a stolen base and a walk Monday in a 9-5 victory versus the Rockies.

Advice: With Mookie Betts (hand) set to miss several weeks, Ohtani could see most of his work out of the leadoff spot -- he's now slotted in there for both games that Betts has missed so far this season. Ohtani certainly possesses qualities of a leadoff man with a .314 average, .388 OBP and 16 thefts on the campaign, though his power far exceeds what is usually expected from a batter in that role. Ohtani could lose some RBI opportunities with Betts not hitting ahead of him for the foreseeable future, but the Japanese superstar is more than capable of knocking himself in and should continue to get opportunities to score with Will Smith and Freddie Freeman batting behind him. • Reaches three times in loss
Greene went 1-for-2 with two walks and an RBI in Monday's 2-1 loss to Atlanta.

Advice: Greene didn't get much support from the rest of the lineup but it was still a good day for the young outfielder. He's been locked in this month with a .305 batting average across 15 games, and that's pushed his overall average to .254. Greene is a dynamic talent who can really take off if he keeps making consistent contact at the plate like he's done recently. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:22 pm

    • Greene knocks in lone Tigers run Monday
Riley Greene went 1-for-2 with an RBI and two walks against the Braves on Monday.

Advice: Greene’s RBI single in the top of the sixth inning gave the Tigers a 1-0 lead, but it was the only run they would score on Monday. Greene’s hitting .254 with an .830 OPS and 37 RBI on the season. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:54 pm

    • Moves into leadoff spot sans Betts
Ohtani will start at designated hitter and bat leadoff in Monday's game in Colorado.

Advice: In the Dodgers' first game without Mookie Betts (hand), Ohtani slides up one spot in the order and will be followed by Will Smith, who moves from cleanup to the two hole. Ohtani also hit leadoff once back on May 18 when Betts had a day off. It's the only two times this season that he hasn't hit second. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 2:15 pm

    • Slated to throw this week
Musgrove (elbow) is expected to play catch Wednesday or Thursday, Kevin Acee of The San Diego Union-Tribune reports.

Advice: This will be the first time Musgrove has thrown since he went on the injured list June 1 due to a bone spur in his right elbow. The right-hander acknowledged that his new slider may have contributed to the issue and indicated Saturday that he is considering how to alter either the grip or his wrist action on the pitch. Musgrove also shared that he is working to change the landing on his delivery in order to reduce the stress on his arm, saying, "I do think that that delivery, like the release point and like how it's coming out of my hand right now, now that it's aggravated, I've got to try to make some kind of adjustment to not re-aggravate it without having months of rest time and let it calm down. I gotta find a way to adjust." There's still a possibility that the veteran hurler will need surgery to remove the bone spur, but even if he avoids that scenario, he probably won't be ready to rejoin the Padres until late July. • Could be activated June 24
Contreras (forearm) could be activated from the 10-day injured list as soon as next Monday, Katie Woo of The Athletic reports.

Advice: Contreras will begin a rehab assignment with Triple-A Memphis on Tuesday and might require less than a week of rehab games before rejoining the Cardinals lineup. Woo cautions that the catcher's timeline for rejoining the big club remains tentative, and a firmer return date may not come into focus until Contreras gets a few rehab games under his belt. • Willson Contreras (forearm) starts rehab assignment
Willson Contreras (forearm) will begin a minor league rehab assignment on Tuesday with Triple-A Memphis.

Advice: Contreras has been cleared to return to game action and is targeting a return to St. Louis before the end of the month. The 32-year-old backstop has made a rapid recovery from surgery last month to repair a fractured left forearm. There’s a chance he’s back by the start of next week. • May require rehab assignment
Tucker (lower leg) may require a rehab assignment, MLB.com reports.

Advice: Manager Joe Espada relayed that Tucker is feeling better, including doing some work in the weight room. However, Espada also added that if Tucker isn't able to begin running within the next few days he will require a rehab assignment before being activated. If that were the case, his return may not come until late June. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:25 am

    • Clubs homer in win
Henderson went 1-for-5 with a solo home run in Sunday's 8-3 win over the Phillies.

Advice: Henderson worked a nine-pitch at-bat to lead off the first inning, and it ended with him taking Zack Wheeler deep. It was Henderson's lone hit in the game, but it was enough to extend his hitting streak to 10 contests, a span in which he's gone 14-for-43 (.326) with three long balls. The star shortstop is up to 22 homers, 49 RBI, 56 runs scored, nine stolen bases and a .274/.370/.588 slash line through 70 games in his breakout campaign. Rotowire.com Sunday, 10:44 pm
