    • Exits with apparent injury
Torres was removed from Friday's game versus Boston with an apparent leg injury, Gabrielle Starr of the Boston Herald reports.

Advice: Torres came up limping after beating out an infield single in the fourth inning, and he was immediately replaced on first base by Oswaldo Cabrera. Torres missed a few games in June due to a groin issue, but the details of his latest injury will come once the Yankees are able to take a closer look at him. Rotowire.com 37 minutes ago

    • Gleyber Torres leaves game with apparent injury
Gleyber Torres was removed from Friday night’s showdown against the Red Sox in the fourth inning due to an apparent injury.

Advice: Torres hustled out an infield single that loaded the bases in the third inning, but he came up hobbling and had to be pulled from the game. It’s unclear if it’s a recurrence of the groin issue that he has been dealing with, or if he tweaked something in his leg while busting it down the line. Expect the Yankees to provide an update on his status shortly. Rotoworld 46 minutes ago

    • Sitting against southpaw
Melendez isn't in the Royals' lineup for Friday's game against the Rockies.

Advice: The lefty-hitting Melendez will retreat to the dugout Friday as left-handed starter Kyle Freeland starts on the bump for Colorado. Dairon Blanco, Garrett Hampson and Hunter Renfroe will make up the Royals' outfield while Melendez rests. Rotowire.com Today, 2:22 pm

Marte went 2-for-5 with one RBI, a run scored and a stolen base in Thursday's victory over the Dodgers.

Advice: Marte singled home Corbin Carroll in the top of the fifth to extend Arizona's lead to two runs before also going on to swipe his fourth bag of the season and first since June 11 against the Angels. The second baseman tallied two knocks on the night and has now posted multiple hits in four of his last seven contests. Marte has also hit safely in three straight and in six of his last seven. • Allows one run in save
Fairbanks picked up the save over the Royals on Thursday, allowing one run on one hit over one inning while striking out one.

Advice: Fairbanks entered the contest with a three-run lead in the bottom of the ninth and retired the first two batters in succession before surrendering a solo homer to Bobby Witt. The right-hander was then able to get Vinnie Pasquantino to ground out for the final out of the game, securing his 14th save of the season. Fairbanks has now converted each of his last four save attempts, though he's also allowed a run in four of his last nine appearances. Rotowire.com Today, 4:20 am
    • Keeps rolling for eighth win
Ober (8-4) picked up the win Thursday against Detroit, allowing three runs (one earned) on seven hits and no walks over six innings. He struck out eight.

Advice: All three runs scored by the Tigers came with two outs in the second inning after strike three to Zach McKinstry got past Ryan Jeffers and allowed McKinstry to reach first and extend the inning. Still, Ober managed to generate a fourth outing with at least eight Ks, all of which have been quality starts. Through 94 innings this year, Ober owns a 4.12 ERA and a 100:23 K:BB. He's tentatively scheduled to face the White Sox in Chicago next time out. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:12 pm
