      Julio Rodríguez is batting seventh on Tuesday against the Orioles.

      Advice: It’s the lowest Rodriguez has batted in the majors in quite some time as his frosty start to the 2024 campaign continues. The 23-year-old generational talent has really struggled to get going this season at the plate, batting .247/.297/.327 with seven homers and 17 steals across 360 plate appearances. He’s been ice-cold of late, hitting .069 (2-for-29) over his last seven games. It’s possible taking some pressure off him to produce in the heart of Seattle’s lineup will help him get back on track.       Nolan Jones went 2-for-4 with an RBI double and a walk versus the Brewers on Monday.

      Advice: The second hit also would have been at least a double, but it hit first base umpire Brian O’Nora on its way down the first base line, resulting in a single. Jones has had issues with strikeouts since coming off the IL last month, but he’s hitting the ball harder than he did in April and drawing a bunch of walks (12 in 15 games).       Rodriguez went 1-for-5 with a stolen base in a loss to the Twins on Sunday.

      Advice: Rodriguez's hit was only his second in the last 31 plate appearances, a seven-game span where the talented outfielder has generated an anemic .069 average and .198 OPS. The multi-game skid has temporarily erased a lot of the progress Rodriguez had made after a slow start to the season, as his slash line has dropped to a middling .247/.297/.327. However, there are underlying metrics that suggest Rodriguez is running into some tough luck as well -- he owns an expected batting average and slugging percentage of .272 and .434, respectively, and he's also boasting a career-best 21.7 percent line-drive rate.       Julio Rodríguez went 0-for-4 on Saturday in the Mariners’ loss to the Twins.

      Advice: It’s been a trying first half for Rodríguez, who went hitless during Saturday’s losing effort despite a scalding a 102-mph line-drive off Twins starter Pablo López in the third inning that went for a lineout. The 23-year-old franchise cornerstone’s latest hitless performance drops his full-season batting average back down to a pedestrian .248 mark. The even more problematic development for fantasy purposes is that he’s gone deep just seven times this season, with nearly half of those coming over his last 30 games.       Jones went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run Saturday against the White Sox.

      Advice: Jones entered Saturday's game having collected just one hit across his last 15 at-bats. He ended that short slump with a two-run homer in the fifth inning, his second long ball since returning from the injured list June 14. Jones is still working on finding his rhythm this season after missing around six weeks due to knee and back injuries, but he is now hitting .250 since being activated. Rotowire.com Sunday, 12:02 am

      Garcia went 2-for-5 with a solo home run and a double in Saturday's 6-5 loss to the Orioles.

      Advice: Garcia's blast got the Rangers within a run in the eighth inning, but they failed to tie the game. The outfielder has hit safely in eight of the last nine games, going 10-for-35 (.286) with three homers and four RBI in that span.       Steer went 2-for-5 with a double, a two-run homer and two runs scored in Thursday's win over the Cardinals.

      Advice: Steer hit a leadoff double in the third inning before coming around to score Cincinnati's third run of the contest, adding a two-run shot off Miles Mikolas in the following frame. The 26-year-old has recorded multiple hits in three of his last four games, tallying six RBI over that stretch. Steer's batting .286 in June with four homers, 16 RBI and 11 runs scored.     • Garcia blasts 15th home run in loss Thursday
      Adolis Garcia went 1-for-4 with a solo home run against the Orioles on Thursday.



      Advice: Garcia’s home run was his 15th of the season. It hasn’t been Garcia’s best season, but he’s showing what it means to possess a solid floor. He’s only hitting .219, but he’s still on pace for around 30 home runs with 15 stolen bases and run totals in the mid-80s. Even though Garcia isn’t repeating the monster season he produced last year, he’s still carving out a pretty nice year for himself.
