      Michael Busch hit a two-run homer to help the Cubs to a win over the Brewers on Saturday.

      Advice: Busch gave the Cubs a two-run lead in the first inning with a blast off Tobias Myers in the first inning. The 26-year-old has homered 10 times thus far in 2024, but only two of those roundtrippers have come in the month of June.       Diamondbacks manager Torey Lovullo said Saturday that Gabriel Moreno (thumb) is not expected to require a rehab assignment.

      Advice: Moreno is getting back up to speed in the Rookie-level Arizona Complex League at the moment, but Lovullo made it sound like he’ll return on Tuesday instead of getting into some additional minor league contests.       Advice: This certainly qualifies as a welcome surprise for fantasy managers following Springer’s early exit from Friday’s game against the Yankees after being hit on his left hand by a 93.5 mph fastball. The positive news here is that precautionary X-rays came back negative for any fractures and the fact that he’s already back in the lineup means that the swelling isn’t bad enough that it’s preventing him from gripping a bat. It’s been a down year offensively for the 34-year-old veteran outfielder, but the Blue Jays need his bat in the lineup if they’re going to have any shot at turning things around before the trade deadline.
