      Red Sox manager Alex Cora said Thursday that Devers (knee) isn't comfortable enough yet to play third base but will likely return to the position Saturday versus the Cubs, Chris Cotillo of The Springfield Republican reports.

      Advice: The good news is Devers is well enough to hit, as he'll be the club's designated hitter again Thursday after homering from the spot in his return to the lineup Wednesday. The Cubs are starting left-hander Shota Imanaga on Friday, so it's possible the lefty-hitting Devers will rest that day before returning to third base Saturday. With Devers (twice) and Tyler O'Neill (once) occupying the DH spot the last three days, Masataka Yoshida has been on the bench. However, it sounds like Yoshida should be back in there soon enough.       Advice: Henderson was hit by a pitch in the opening at-bat to start the game and wasted no time in getting his revenge, taking Tyler Anderson deep for a leadoff home run in his next trip to the plate to put the Orioles up 1-0. The star shortstop would then add a double and a two-run single in his next two-at bats while also being hit by a pitch for the second time in the contest. Henderson has now homered in back-to-back games and also extended his hitting streak to five games with Wednesday's performance.       Kimbrel picked up the save against the Angels on Wednesday, allowing one unearned run on one hit and one walk over one inning while striking out one.

      Advice: Kimbrel surrendered a leadoff single to Ehire Adrianza to open the bottom of the ninth, who then advanced to third on a throwing error by Jorge Mateo. This would lead to a run coming home for Los Angeles in the frame on a groundout to make it a 6-5 game, though Kimbrel was able to retire two of the next three batters to nail down his seventh save of the season. The veteran reliever has now converted each of his last seven save attempts after blowing the save to open the campaign, but he's also allowed a hit and a walk in each of his last two appearances.       Langford went 3-for-3 with a walk, double and run scored in Wednesday's 5-1 win over Seattle.

      Advice: The three-hit performance was the first of the season for Langford. The double was just his fourth extra-base hit over 88 at-bats (.318 slugging, .057 ISO), but the rookie outfielder is getting on base with consistency (.340 OBP, 10.2% walk rate).       Advice: Miller made it through three scoreless frames before the Rangers got to him for a pair of solo homers in the fourth. The right-hander did come back out to the mound for the fifth frame, but he was pulled after issuing a leadoff walk, having thrown 83 pitches to that point. Miller's three-game quality start streak was thus snapped, as was his three-game win streak.       Payamps recorded the save in Wednesday's 3-2 win over the Pirates, striking out two in a scoreless ninth inning.

      Advice: The Pirates made things interesting in the ninth, getting the tying and go-ahead runs on base on a pair of Milwaukee errors. However, Payamps got Jared Triolo to fly out before striking out Andrew McCutchen to seal the 3-2 victory, notching his fourth save of the year. The 30-year-old Payamps has three saves in his last four outings as he lowered his ERA to 3.72 with a 0.62 WHIP and 9:1 K:BB through 9.2 innings.       Wyatt Langford went 3-for-3 with a run scored and a walk against the Mariners on Wednesday.

      Advice: Langford has his best day at the plate so far, reaching in all four plate appearances. He hit a hard double off the center field wall in the second, but stumbled going around second and was caught on the bases. He drew a walk in the fourth and added two more base hits, scoring on a single by Jonah Heim in the sixth.
