      Orioles signed INF Garrett Cooper to a minor-league contract.

      Pasquantino went 1-for-4 with a solo home run Monday in a 4-1 win against the Marlins.

      Advice: Pasquantino put the Royals on the board in the fourth inning with his solo blast to right field. It was the first baseman's first long ball since the first day of June, a span of 20 contests. While Pasquantino hasn't been able to hit the ball over the fence regularly this season, he does have 20 doubles (tied for 10th in the majors) and has already blown away his previous season-best mark with 47 RBI through 76 games.       Gabriel Arias was ejected from Monday’s game in the ninth inning for arguing balls and strikes.

      Sources told SportsGrid’s Craig Mish that Garrett Cooper is signing a minor league deal with the Orioles.

      Advice: The Orioles aren’t lacking for first base/DH/corner outfield options, so Cooper doesn’t seem like a great fit here, though it would give him a chance at a World Series ring. The Brewers aren’t currently interested in putting Black anywhere other than first base or DH, so when Yelich or someone else besides Rhys Hoskins DHs, there’s no room for Black.       The Orioles signed Cooper to a minor-league contract Monday, Craig Mish of the Miami Herald reports.

      Advice: Cooper was cut loose by the Red Sox earlier this month after slashing just .206/.267/.299 between his time there and with the Cubs.
