    • Shohei Ohtani goes deep in Dodgers’ rout of Braves
Shohei Ohtani went 3-for-5 with a solo homer and two RBI on Saturday in the Dodgers’ lopsided win over the Braves.

Advice: Ohtani connected for a third-inning round-tripper off Braves starter Bryce Elder and also added an RBI single in the ensuing frame. The 29-year-old two-way superstar has been phenomenal in his Dodgers debut so far, batting .345/.411/.633 with 28 runs scored, eight homers, 22 RBI and seven steals in 159 plate appearances. • Bryce Elder coughs up three homers to Dodgers
Bryce Elder was blasted for seven runs over 3 1/3 innings on Saturday in a loss to the Dodgers.

Advice: We saw this one coming. Elder was no match for Los Angeles’ star-studded lineup as he gave up seven hits, including three round-trippers, in an abbreviated outing. He was taken deep by Max Muncy, Shohei Ohtani and Andy Pages before departing in the fourth inning. He finished with four strikeouts and also issued four walks. It’s unclear whether he’ll make another start for Atlanta, but he’s tentatively lined up to take the ball next Saturday against the Mets. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:50 pm
    • Beats Brewers for third win
Taillon (3-0) earned the win over the Brewers on Saturday, allowing two hits and two walks over six scoreless innings. He struck out seven.

Advice: The bullpen allowed Milwaukee back into the game with five runs, though Hector Neris ultimately shut the door to preserve the win. Taillon's seven strikeouts Saturday set a new season high after he'd previously topped out at four Ks in an outing. Since returning from a back injury, Taillon has allowed just three earned runs with a 16:5 K:BB over 24 innings. Regression will come at some point, but Taillon will have a great chance to keep the good times rolling next weekend in Pittsburgh. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:27 pm
    • Jameson Taillon tosses six shutout for third win
Jameson Taillon tossed six shutout innings with seven strikeouts in a win over the Brewers on Saturday.

Advice: Taillon continued his excellent start to the season on Saturday, shutting down the Brewers over six innings. He scattered two hits and two walks, striking out a season-high seven batters. The 32-year-old right-hander has now allowed just three runs over 24 innings for a 1.13 ERA, 0.88 WHIP, and a 16/5 K/BB ratio. He’ll take on the Pirates in Pittsburgh on Friday. • Notches two steals Friday
Ohtani went 1-for-3 with a run, an RBI, two walks and two stolen bases Friday in a 4-3 extra-innings victory versus Atlanta.

Advice: Ohtani's first theft came in the third inning, and it led to Los Angeles' first run, as Will Smith followed with a two-out RBI single. It looked like Ohtani would be picked off in the eighth frame, but Matt Olson mishandled the throw to first base, allowing the Japanese superstar to make it to second base safely. Ohtani later came up with a huge hit in the bottom of the 10th, stroking a one-out single to center field to plate the tying run after Atlanta had scored in the top of the frame. Ohtani continues to put up big numbers for the Dodgers and for fantasy managers, as he's slashing .336/.405/.612 with seven homers, 20 RBI, 26 runs and seven steals (in seven attempts) through 153 plate appearances. • Idle against southpaw
Larnach isn't in the Twins' lineup for Saturday's game against Boston.

Advice: The Red Sox will send southpaw Brennan Bernardino to the mound to begin Saturday's contest, forcing the lefty-hitting Larnach to step out of the lineup. His absence will move Ryan Jeffers into the DH spot while Christian Vazquez starts behind the plate and bats seventh. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:47 am

    • Trevor Larnach out of lineup Saturday vs. Boston
Trevor Larnach is not in the starting lineup for Saturday’s game against the Red Sox.

Advice: The Twins are stacking their lineup with right-handed bats against left-hander Brennan Bernardino with seven hitters who will hit from the right-side. Ryan Jeffers will hit leadoff as the designated hitter, and Christian Vazquez will handle catching duties while hitting seventh. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:21 am

    • Blows save in extras
Iglesias blew the save Friday against the Dodgers. He allowed one unearned run on one hit and no walks with no strikeouts over one inning.

Advice: Iglesias entered the bottom of the 10th inning tasked with retiring the top of the Dodgers order to earn a save. He promptly retired Mookie Betts on two pitches before yielding a game-tying RBI single to Shohei Ohtani. However, since it was the automatic runner that scored, the Atlanta closer escaped Friday night without a hit to his ERA, which now stands at 2.03 over 13.1 innings. Rotowire.com Friday, 10:35 pm
    • Launches fifth homer
McMahon went 2-for-5 with a solo home run in Friday's 3-2 win over the Pirates.

Advice: The 29-year-old led off the sixth inning by hammering a Martin Perez changeup out of PNC Park completely and into the Allegheny River, becoming only the second Colorado player in history to accomplish the feat after Todd Helton back in 2001. Three of McMahon's five homers this year have come in the last eight games, and the power surge has boosted his slash line on the season to .319/.407/.513 with 13 runs and 19 RBI in 32 contests.
