    • X-rays negative
X-rays on Marsh's right forearm came back negative Wednesday, Joel Goldberg of Bally Sports Kansas City reports.

Advice: Marsh had to leave Wednesday's contest after taking a comebacker off his forearm in the fifth inning, though he was able to escape the incident with only a bruise. Manager Matt Quatraro said he expects the 25-year-old to be fine, and it seems Marsh still has a good chance to make his next start -- tentatively scheduled for Monday against the Blue Jays. • Adolis García slugs seventh homer versus Mariners
Adolis García went 1-for-4 with a solo homer and two runs scored on Wednesday against the Mariners.

Advice: García put the Rangers on the board with solo homer off Bryce Miller in the fourth inning, his seventh of the season. He later reached on a groundout and scored on a triple by Evan Carter. The 31-year-old slugger is enjoying an outstanding start to the season, hitting .312/.359/.613 with seven homers, 23 RBI, and four steals across 103 plate appearances. • Tallies sixth save
McArthur earned the save Wednesday against Toronto, allowing one hit and no walks with two strikeouts over a scoreless inning.

Advice: McArthur converted on his sixth consecutive save chance, keeping the Blue Jays off the scoreboard after entering the game with the Royals ahead by one run. He's rebounded from a rocky start to 2024 and hasn't allowed a run since April 3 (eight appearances), with 11 strikeouts over 9.2 innings in that stretch. Rotowire.com Today, 7:54 pm
    • James McArthur locks down sixth save on Wednesday
James McArthur struck out two batters in a scoreless ninth inning to lock down the save against the Blue Jays on Wednesday.

Advice: McArthur continues to impress on the mound since taking over as the Royals closer. Protecting a one-run lead in the ninth, he worked around a hit, striking out two for his sixth save of the season. The 27-year-old right-hander appears poised to break out as a full-time closer in Kansas City. Rotoworld Today, 7:33 pm
    • Alec Marsh leaves start with forearm contusion
Alec Marsh was removed from Wednesday’s start against the Blue Jays with a right forearm contusion.

Advice: Marsh was drilled by a 94-mph line drive off the bat of Addison Barger in the fifth inning, which prompted his removal from the game. He’ll likely undergo additional testing just to be sure there’s nothing wrong structurally. It’s probably going to take a couple of days to determine whether or not he’ll be able to make his next scheduled start. Rotoworld Today, 6:20 pm

    • Exits with injury
Marsh was removed from his start Wednesday versus Toronto after getting hit by a comebacker, Anne Rogers of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Marsh took a 94-mph line drive off his right forearm during the fifth inning and looked to be in a considerable amount of pain before leaving the game with trainers. The Royals will take a closer look at him and should offer an update on his status after Wednesday's game. The 25-year-old righty pitched 4.1 innings of shutout ball before exiting. • Gets maintenance day
Turner is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Royals.

Advice: Turner's absence from the lineup looks to be nothing more than a routine maintenance day after the 39-year-old had started in each of the Blue Jays' last nine games. Daniel Vogelbach will fill in for Turner as Toronto's designated hitter. Rotowire.com Today, 2:57 pm

    • Resting Wednesday
D'Arnaud is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Marlins.

Advice: D'Arnaud looks to be getting a breather after he caught both of the first two games of the series versus the Marlins. Chadwick Tromp will be behind the plate Wednesday, forming a battery with starting pitcher Reynaldo Lopez. Rotowire.com Today, 2:42 pm

    • Dealing with Grade 2 MCL sprain
Nationals manager Dave Martinez said that Thomas was placed on the 10-day injured list earlier Wednesday with a Grade 2 MCL sprain and is without a timeline for a return, Mark Zuckerman of MASNSports.com reports.

Advice: Thomas sustained the injury in the fifth inning of Tuesday's 4-1 loss to the Dodgers and was diagnosed with the MCL sprain after getting an MRI. The outfielder was walking around without the aid of crutches Wednesday and acknowledged that he expects to avoid surgery, according to Andrew Golden of The Washington Post. A timeline for Thomas' return could come into focus once he resumes baseball activities, but fantasy managers should prepare for the outfielder to be sidelined beyond the minimum 10 days. Martinez said that Joey Gallo will get the first chance at replacing Thomas as Washington's primary right fielder. Rotowire.com Today, 1:23 pm
