      Murphy (oblique) went 2-for-6 with a double, a home run and two RBI for Triple-A Gwinnett on Thursday.

      Advice: The rehabbing catcher got the start at designated hitter and launched a solo shot off Valente Bellozo in the fourth inning, Murphy's second home run in two games for Gwinnett. Atlanta may want to make sure he's ready for regular defensive duties before activating him from the IL, but based on how he's looked at the plate, the 29-year-old should be back with the major-league team at some point this weekend.       Mountcastle went 4-for-5 with a double and two runs scored in Thursday's win over the White Sox.

      Advice: Mountcastle recorded hits in each of his first four at-bats, marking only the second time this month in which he's scored two runs in a contest. The first baseman saw his batting average jump 16 points with his fourth multi-hit performance this month, though he hasn't driven in a run since May 8.       Ryan Mountcastle went 4-for-5 with a double and two runs scored against the White Sox on Thursday.



      Advice: Mountcastle scored on Jorge Mateo’s three-run home run in the fourth inning and on an Adley Rutschman home run in the sixth inning. The four hits marked a nice bounce back game for Mountcastle, who had been slumping. The Orioles have a deep group of hitters to choose from, but he should stay in the lineup as long as he continues to hit.

      According to The Enquirer’s Charlie Goldsmith, Nick Lodolo (groin) will throw a bullpen on Saturday and is “aiming to return on Monday.”

      Advice: Lodolo threw a bullpen on Wednesday and felt good, so the bullpen on Saturday could be the final step to getting him back on the mound in an MLB game.       Lodolo (groin) threw a successful extended bullpen session Wednesday and is set to throw off the mound again Saturday, Charlie Goldsmith of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.

      Advice: Assuming he comes out of Saturday's session without any hiccups, Lodolo will be set to return from the 15-day injured list to start against the Cardinals on Monday, the first day he'll be eligible for activation.       Arozarena went 1-for-4 with a walk Wednesday against the Red Sox.

      Advice: Arozarena had a surge in power for the first two weeks of May with five homers in the first 12 games of the month, but he has struggled for the last week. In his last seven games, he has hit just .172 with a 29 percent strikeout to go along with three runs scored and no RBI.     • Ryan McMahon blasts go-ahead homer in Oakland
      Ryan McMahon went 2-for-6 with a two-run homer to lift the Rockies to a 4-3 win over the Athletics on Wednesday.

      Advice: McMahon had knocked a single in the ninth, then came through in a big spot in the 12th inning. With a runner on in a tie game, he took Kyle Muller deep for a go-ahead two-run blast.     • Bounces back against Marlins
      Peralta (3-3) took the loss Wednesday against Miami, allowing one run on four hits and a walk across seven innings. He struck out seven.

      Advice: Peralta was locked into a pitcher's duel with Jesus Luzardo, with a leadoff home run by Jazz Chisholm in the first inning being enough to push Peralta into the loss column. Still, fantasy managers saw the dominant version of Peralta that garnered early Cy Young consideration before his ERA ballooned from 1.90 on April 19 to 4.17 before Wednesday's outing. Through the ups and downs, Peralta's strikeout production has maintained, with 71 K's across 56.2 innings on the year.
