      Advice: Estrada was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded in the top of the seventh inning to give San Francisco its first lead, though Chicago quickly re-took the lead in the bottom of the frame. The Giants remained behind until the ninth, when Estrada blasted a three-run homer that proved to be the game-winning hit. The long ball snapped a 20-game homerless stretch for the infielder.       Neris (6-2) took the loss and blew a save against the Giants on Monday, allowing three runs (two earned) on one hit and one walk while striking out one batter over one inning.

      Advice: Neris entered in the top of the ninth frame with Chicago leading by two runs. He got one out before Jorge Soler reached base on catcher's interference. Mike Yastrzemski followed with a walk before Thairo Estrada gave San Francisco the lead with a three-run homer. Though Neris retired the following two batters, the damage had been done, and the Cubs weren't able to mount a comeback in the bottom of the frame. The blown save was the fourth of the season for Neris and his third over his past seven chances.       Hector Neris allowed three runs, blew the save and took the loss against the Giants on Monday.

      Advice: The Cubs’ lead evaporated quickly in the ninth inning. With one out, Jorge Soler reached on a catcher interference. After Neris issued a walk to Mike Yastrzemski, Thairo Estrada hit a three-run home run to give the Giants a 7-6 lead. Neris now has four blown saves on the year including two blown saves in his last three opportunities. Neris’ ERA is now 4.73 on the year. His grip on the closer role loosens with every blown save. Pivetta is 2-0 with a 3.50 ERA in three starts this month after posting a disappointing 5.55 ERA in May. For the season, he owns a 3.88 ERA alongside a 59:14 K:BB through 10 starts. He added another hit and then reached on a walk in the eighth to then pick up his 10th stolen base of the campaign. It was Altuve's second home run in his last seven games after a streak of 17 games without a blast.
