    • Reaches double-digit steals
Acuna went 1-for-5 with a stolen base in Monday's win over the Marlins.

Advice: The 26-year-old superstar continues to make an impact from the leadoff spot. Acuna is up to 10 steals on the season in 11 attempts, and he's hit safely in nine of the last 10 games, a stretch in which he's batting .359 (14-for-39) with one homer, two RBI and nine runs scored. • Swats solo shot Monday
Alonso went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Monday's loss to the Giants.

Advice: Alonso accounted for the Mets' first run with a fifth-inning solo blast to left field. The long ball snapped a seven-game homerless drought for the slugger, and he had gone just 4-for-26 with one RBI during that stretch. Alonso still leads the team -- and is tied for third in the majors -- with seven homers on the campaign, though he's knocked in just 12 runs. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:38 pm
    • Pete Alonso hits seventh homer against Giants
Pete Alonso went 2-for-4 and homered against the Giants on Monday.

Advice: Unfortunately, Alonso couldn’t come through again in the ninth, when the Mets scored once off Camilo Doval but still fell three runs short. Alonso is tied for third in the majors with seven homers. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:16 pm
    • Blasts game-winner
Gelof went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run during Monday's 2-0 win over the Yankees.

Advice: Gelof entered the ninth hitless in three at-bats but broke the scoreless tie by lifting a 2-2 pitch over the right-center field wall for an opposite-field, two-run blast, his third long ball of the season. Gelof, who entered the day hitting just .202, has now put together hits in consecutive games for the first time since April 7-11 by following up a two-hit day Sunday with Monday's game-winner. • Zack Gelof hits go-ahead homer in Oakland’s win
Zack Gelof broke a scoreless tie with a homer in the top of the ninth as the A’s defeated the Yankees 2-0 on Monday.

Advice: The two-run shot gave Gelof his first runs batted in since a solo homer on Apr. 10. The A’s dropped him out of the second spot in the lineup over the weekend, batting him sixth the last two days. It seemed like an overreaction, given that pretty much everyone on the team is struggling, but it’s hard to blame Mark Kotsay for wanting to try something different. Gelof is at .205/.271/.352 in 97 plate appearances. Rotoworld Yesterday, 12:49 pm
    • Rays officially place Pete Fairbanks on IL
Rays placed RHP Pete Fairbanks on the 15-day injured list due to a nerve-related condition.

Advice: Fairbanks was unavailable over the weekend at Yankee Stadium due to a stomach illness, but now the Rays will have to make due for a while. Fairbanks has previously dealt with Reynaud’s syndrome, though it’s unclear if he’s dealing with the same symptoms now. Jason Adam would be the presumed favorite for save chances, though the Rays are no strangers to mixing it up. Rotoworld Yesterday, 12:21 pm

    • Lands on IL with nerve issue
The Rays placed Fairbanks on the 15-day injured list Monday with a nerve-related issue, Ryan Bass of Bally Sports Sun reports.

Advice: The Rays haven't provided any further details regarding the injury at this time, but it would appear unrelated to the stomach issue that had idled Fairbanks over the weekend. A timetable for the reliever's return could become clearer in the coming days as more is known about his condition. Jason Adam should be first in line for saves in the Rays bullpen sans Fairbanks, though it's possible manager Kevin Cash uses more of a committee approach to the ninth inning. • Report: Fairbanks is headed to the injured list
According to Kristie Ackert of the Tampa Bay Times, Pete Fairbanks is headed to the IL with a nerve-related condition.

Advice: We know that Fairbanks battled Reynaud’s syndrome, which is a problem that causes decreased blood flow to the fingers and obviously impacts gripping a baseball. This may be what’s caused his early-season struggles as well. We have no indication of how long he’ll be on the IL, but the Rays will undoubtedly go to a committee in his absence that features Jason Adam, Garrett Cleavinger, and Colin Poche. All of them can be added in leagues if you need saves since they should also provide solid ratios even if they don’t get a bulk of the save opportunities. Kevin Kelly was called up in a corresponding move. Rotoworld Yesterday, 11:39 am

    • Mired in extended skid
Gelof went 2-for-4 with a stolen base in a loss to the Guardians on Sunday, but he still carries a .158/.200/.158 slash line over the 40 plate appearances covering his last 10 games.

Advice: Gelof appeared primed to build on a highly encouraging rookie 2023 campaign after he followed up an impressive spring by reaching safely in nine of the first 12 games of the season. However, matters took a serious turn for the worse after that point, as the aforementioned slash line indicates. Consistent and impactful contact have both proven highly elusive -- Gelof sports a 32.5 percent strikeout rate in that 10-game sample and hasn't recorded an extra-base hit since the solo home run he belted against the Rangers on April 10.
