    • Tosses bullpen session
Senga (shoulder/triceps) threw a two-inning bullpen session Saturday, Abbey Mastracco of the New York Daily News reports.

Advice: Senga was able to throw more than 30 pitches in the session and he's expected to throw a shorter one next week. The right-hander has been slowly working his way back from a posterior right capsule strain and then a subsequent triceps injury and he's yet to make his season debut. Senga has already been ruled out for the first half of the season, but if he can build off of Saturday's session next week, he'll remain on track to return relatively soon following the All-Star break. • Out of lineup again Saturday
Campusano is not in the lineup for Saturday's contest versus the Mets.

Advice: He will yield to Kyle Higashioka at catcher for the second day in a row and the third time over the Padres' last four contests. Campusano has just a .541 OPS since the beginning of May. Rotowire.com Today, 10:11 am
    • Sitting Saturday
Gelof is not in the starting lineup Saturday against the Twins.

Advice: Gelof will take a seat after going 0-for-6 with a walk and three strikeouts over the first two games of the series. Abraham Toro will slide over to second base while J.D. Davis enters the lineup at the hot corner, batting sixth versus Minnesota. Rotowire.com Today, 8:21 am

    • Swipes two bags in win
Volpe went 1-for-5 with a run and two stolen bases Friday in an 8-1 victory versus the Red Sox.

Advice: Volpe made the most of his fifth-inning single, as he proceeded to steal both second and third base before coming home on an Alex Verdugo double. The second-year shortstop is up to 15 thefts (on 18 attempts) this season, which is tied for 13th in the league. Volpe's power is down in comparison to his rookie campaign, but he's reduced his strikeout rate from 27.8 percent to 21.3 percent, which has helped produce a much-improved .271/.329/.414 slash line. • Max Meyer strikes out four on Friday at Triple-A
Max Meyer struck out four and allowed two runs over four innings on Friday for Triple-A Jacksonville.

Advice: So much for the whole notion from Marlins manager Skip Schumaker that Meyer would be returning to the majors “soon.” While Miami’s starting rotation continues to struggle, Meyer hasn’t exactly delivered dominant performances his last few times out. Still, he’s a vastly superior option than the cromulent journeymen the Marlins keep throwing out there. It’s only a matter of time before the 25-year-old top pitching prospect gets another shot after having his workload closely monitored in the minors over the last few months. His fastball/slider combo remains outstanding and gives him a shot at immediate fantasy relevance once the Marlins finally decide to let him pitch in the majors again. Rotoworld Today, 3:45 am

    • Turns in quality start
Stone allowed three runs on four hits and two walks while striking out three over seven innings in a no-decision versus the Royals on Friday.

Advice: Stone's three-start winning streak was snapped, but he picked up his first quality start over three outings in June. The right-hander has been steady this year -- this was just the fourth time in 13 starts he's given up three runs. He's now at a 3.01 ERA, 1.21 WHIP and 56:23 K:BB over 74.2 innings. Stone is projected to make his next start at Colorado. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:44 pm

    • Gavin Stone surrenders three over seven vs. KC
Gavin Stone didn’t factor into the decision Saturday against the Royals after allowing three runs over seven innings with three strikeouts.

Advice: Stone allowed four hits and walked two while throwing 61-of-94 pitches in the strike zone. The 25-year-old allowed all three runs on a long roundtripper by Salvador Perez. Minus that gaffe, it was another solid start for Stone against a pretty tough Kansas City lineup. He’s currently scheduled to face the Rockies on Thursday in Colorado. • Anthony Volpe steals two bags in win on Friday
Anthony Volpe went 1-for-5 with a pair of stolen bases and a run scored on Friday night as the Yankees triumphed over the Red Sox.

Advice: Volpe led off the fifth inning with a single, then swiped second and third base before scoring on Alex Verdugo’s RBI double. That would be his lone hit in five at-bats on the evening. For the season, the dynamic 23-year-old shortstop is now hitting .272/.330/.415 with six homers, 26 RBI and 15 stolen bases. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:48 pm

    • Taking seat Friday
Campusano is not in the lineup for Friday's contest versus the Mets.

Advice: He will yield to the hot-hitting Kyle Higashioka at catcher Friday. Campusano is slashing just .146/.203/.182 across his last 19 games. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 1:28 pm
