    • Danny Jansen placed on Paternity List
Blue Jays placed C Danny Jansen on the Paternity List.

Advice: Congrats to Jansen, who will miss up to three games to be with his family. The veteran catcher is not having a great season, slashing .227/.316/.399 with five home runs in 51 games. Perhaps the transition to fatherhood will provide a spark. The Blue Jays recalled Brian Serven to back up Alejandro Kirk in the meantime. Rotoworld 14 minutes ago

    • Goes on paternity leave
The Blue Jays placed Jansen on the paternity list Monday.

Advice: Jansen will miss the next 1-to-3 games while welcoming a new baby. Alejandro Kirk should serve as the Blue Jays' primary catcher during that time, and Brian Serven has been recalled from Triple-A Buffalo to handle backup duties. Rotowire.com 58 minutes ago

    • Paul Sewald lowers ERA to 0.54 on Sunday
Paul Sewald struck out two in a perfect ninth inning on Sunday against the Athletics.

Advice: It was a non-save situation, with Arizona leading by four runs entering the final frame, but Sewald remained locked-in nonetheless, needing just 13 pitches (11 strikes) to end the game. The 34-year-old righty has reeled off 17 consecutive scoreless appearances since giving up one run back on May 7 in his season debut. He’s converted all 11 of his save chances this season and boasts a microscopic 0.54 ERA, 0.48 WHIP and 15/3 K/BB ratio across 16 2/3 innings (18 appearances). Simply put, he’s still one of the top closers in the entire fantasy landscape. Rotoworld Yesterday, 3:52 pm

    • Burleson drives in a run in win over Reds Sunday
Alec Burleson went 1-for-3 with an RBI against the Reds on Sunday.

Advice: Burleson started the scoring with an RBI single in the fifth inning to put the Cardinals on the board. He’s 12-for-30 (.400) with 13 RBI in his last nine games. Burleson is hitting .278 with a .768 OPS and 38 RBI on the season. Rotoworld Yesterday, 2:01 pm

    • Homers again in win
Duran went 1-for-3 with a solo home run and a walk in Sunday's 4-1 win over the Padres.

Advice: Duran chased Matt Waldron from the game when he hit a knuckleball around the Pesky Pole in the fifth inning. For the third time this month, Duran has gone deep in back-to-back games. He finishes June with six home runs after hitting only three over his first 61 games. Duran's tied with Bobby Witt for the fifth-best WAR in MLB this season at 4.3. His breakout campaign continues, as he's hitting .288/.350/.491 with nine homers, 39 RBI, 57 runs, and 20 stolen bases. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 1:53 pm

    • Launches 12th homer
Cruz went 2-for-3 with a two-run home run, a walk and a strikeout in Sunday's 4-2 win over Atlanta.

Advice: Cruz hit a 452-foot missile off Spencer Schwellenbach in the fifth inning to give the Pirates a lead they wouldn't relinquish. It was the third-longest homer of his career, and it had an exit velocity of 117.3 MPH, which is also the third-hardest of his career. There have been five home runs with exit velocities of 117 or more this season, and Cruz has two of them. The 25-year-old has three long balls over his last seven games, and he's up to 12 homers, 36 RBI, six steals and 36 runs for the season. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:56 am

    • Oneil Cruz crushes two-run homer in win over ATL
Oneil Cruz hit a two-run homer Sunday in a 4-2 victory for the Pirates over Atlanta.

Advice: Cruz also singled and walked. The 25-year-old absolutely obliterated a 452-foot shot off Spencer Schwellenbach to turn a 1-0 deficit into a 2-1 lead with Jack Suwinski on base at that time. Cruz continues to frustrate in what is essentially his first full season of MLB action, but games like this one remind that there are very few players in the sport who have as much talent. • Bo Bichette out of lineup Sunday against Yankees
Bo Bichette is not in the starting lineup for Sunday’s tilt against the Yankees.

Advice: It’s a scheduled off day for Bichette after he returned off the injured list Tuesday from his calf strain. Isiah Kiner-Falefa will get the start at shortstop in his place and hit leadoff. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:40 am

    • Three hits in win
Santana went 3-for-4 with a double and a run scored in Saturday's win over the Mariners.

Advice: Santana reached base in three of his first four trips to the plate, starting with a leadoff double in the top of the fourth. It was the veteran first baseman's fourth three-hit performance this month and the fourth multi-hit effort in his last six games. Over that latter stretch he's batting .400 (10-for-25) with three doubles, one RBI and four runs scored. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:30 am
