    • Remains on bench Wednesday
India (illness) is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Phillies.

Advice: India and Jake Fraley are being held out of the starting nine for the fourth and fifth consecutive games, respectively, as both work to return to 100 percent health in their recoveries from illness. Santiago Espinal has been serving as India's primary replacement and will draw another start at second base Wednesday. According to Mark Sheldon of MLB.com, India was at the team facility Wednesday and was able to do some hitting, so he should be available off the bench, if needed. Rotowire.com 38 minutes ago

    • Swats sixth homer
Paredes went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run in Tuesday's 4-2 loss to the Tigers.

Advice: He supplied the Rays' only offense by taking Alex Faedo deep in the sixth inning. Paredes is having a strong start to the season, slashing .274/.361/.512 through 23 games with six homers and 16 RBI, but he'll need to keep producing to hang onto his starting job at third base with top prospect Junior Caminero lurking at Triple-A. • Goes yard twice in win
Greene went 2-for-3 with a walk, two home runs and three RBI in Tuesday's 4-2 win over the Rays.

Advice: The Orlando native put on a show for friends and family in Tampa Bay, launching a solo shot to center field off Ryan Pepiot in the third inning before crushing a Colin Poche fastball to left-center in the eighth for a game-winning, two-run blast. Greene snapped a 14-game homer drought with the performance, but he appears poised on the brink of an offensive eruption -- his 20.6 percent walk rate is more than double last year's mark, while his Statcast page is covered in red ink as he sits in the 99th percentile in barrel rate and 91st percentile in xwOBA. That's translated into a .247/.402/.506 slash line through 102 plate appearances with five homers, 11 RBI and 20 runs. Rotowire.com Today, 7:09 am

    • Short start in loss
King (2-2) took the loss Tuesday against the Rockies, allowing six runs (four earned) on eight hits and three walks while striking out five in 3.2 innings.

Advice: King had given up just one run through three innings before things took a turn for the worst in the fourth. Two singles and an error loaded up the bases before King served up a grand slam to Brendan Rodgers to give the Rockies their first lead of the game. The damage didn't stop there, as King would then find himself with the bases loaded again in that same inning and walked in another run before finally being pulled. After flirting with a no-hitter his last time out, King had arguably his worst start of the year and has given mixed results through his first six outings. The 29-year-old now owns a 4.11 ERA, 1.43 WHIP and 34:18 K:BB in 30.2 innings. He'll look to get back in the win column versus the Phillies this weekend. Rotowire.com Today, 4:00 am

    • Michael King gets roughed up in fourth in loss
Michael King was tagged for six runs — four earned — in 3 2/3 innings by the Rockies on Tuesday.

Advice: King’s first start at Coors Field was going OK until the fourth, when two singles, an error and a grand slam gave the Rockies the lead. Alas, that still wasn’t the end of it, as King went on to allow a single, a double, an intentional walk and an unintentional walk to push in another run. He was finally pulled at that point, and Stephen Kolek was able to strand the bases loaded. King dropped to 2-2 with a 4.11 ERA. He’s still a decent enough play versus the Phillies next time out. • Says healthy despite velocity drop
Lopez allowed three runs on four hits and two walks over four innings Tuesday in a 6-5 win over the White Sox. He struck out six in a no-decision. He said after the game he was a physically fine despite a noticeable drop in his fastball velocity during the game, Aaron Gleeman of The Athletic reports.

Advice: Lopez's final pitch in the fourth inning was 91.9 mph, his slowest four-seam fastball while a member of the Twins, according to Do-Hyoung Park of MLB.com. Lopez didn't allow any runs in the first three innings but struggled in the fourth inning by allowing a three-run home run. It was a disappointing performance considering he was facing a struggling offense. However, it sounds like his worrisome velocity drop may not indicate a bigger problem. • Pablo López avoids loss in dicey outing vs. CWS
Pablo López allowed four hits and three earned runs over four innings in the Twins’ win over the White Sox on Tuesday.

Advice: López fell victim to a three-run homer courtesy of Eloy Jiménez in the fourth inning, which proved to be his lone blemish in an up-and-down outing. The veteran righty struggled to keep runners off the basepaths in this one, allowing six baserunners in this one. He’s now allowed seven or more baserunners in three of his last four outings and has seen his ERA rise to 4.39 on the young season. López will look to get back on track in his next outing, which is scheduled for Sunday against the Angels. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:35 pm

    • Solid again despite loss
Houck (3-2) took the loss Tuesday against the Guardians, allowing two runs on five hits and three walks over six innings. He struck out four.

Advice: After twirling a complete-game shutout in his last start against Cleveland, Houck picked up where he left off, blanking the Guardians through six innings. However, he'd allow the first three batters to reach safely in the seventh, as Houck would ultimately be charged with two runs and the loss. Still, it's been an excellent start to the campaign for the 27-year-old Houck -- he has a sparkling 1.65 ERA with a 0.98 WHIP and 32:5 K:BB through his first five starts (32.2 innings). Houck's currently lined up for a two-start week -- he's slated to face the Cubs at home Sunday. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:14 pm
    • Paredes homers in loss to Tigers
Isaac Paredes went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run in a loss to the Tigers on Tuesday.

Advice: In a rare occurrence, Paredes homered to left-center field instead of down the line in left field. The ball left the bat at 100.8 mph and traveled 384 feet. It was the 25-year-old’s sixth home run on the season to go along with 16 RBI. He’s been strong again to start the season, which he’ll need to continue to be since one of the best prospects in baseball, Junior Caminero, plays his position and is just one level away. Still, Paredes will continue to play if he keeps hitting, and there are no indications that last year’s breakout was a fluke. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:01 pm
