    • Hit hard Saturday
Valdez allowed six runs on 10 hits and three walks while striking out five over 4.2 innings in a no-decision versus the Mets on Saturday.

Advice: Valdez struggled in the second and third innings, but the Astros were able to rally back to help him avoid a loss. Over six outings in June, he allowed 16 runs across 37.2 innings, though 11 of those runs came in two starts. The southpaw is still struggling compared to his usual level of performance with a 4.11 ERA, 1.29 WHIP and 68:29 K:BB over 85.1 innings through 14 starts this year. Valdez is projected to make his next start on the road in Toronto. Rotowire.com 25 minutes ago
    • Valdez allows six runs in no-decision Saturday
Framber Valdez allowed six runs in 4 2/3 innings and got a no-decision in the Astros’ 9-6 victory over the Mets on Saturday.

Advice: Valdez gave up 10 hits, walked three and struck out five. He allowed at least five runs for the second time in his last four starts. Valdez’ ERA is 4.11 on the year, though there is some hope for him to bounce back given his 3.55 xFIP. The 30-year-old left-hander is set to face the Blue Jays on the road next week.

    • Aaron Judge reaches three times against Jays
Aaron Judge went 2-for-3 with an RBI and a walk against the Blue Jays on Saturday.

Advice: Judge knocked a base hit in the first inning, then drew an intentional walk in the third. With another single in the fifth, Judge drove in the first run of the game for New York. The 32-year-old slugger is slashing an MVP-esque .313/.434/.700 with 30 homers, 64 RBI, and 80 RBI across 365 plate appearances. Rotoworld Today, 3:04 pm

    • Taking seat Saturday
Taveras isn't in the Rangers' lineup for Saturday's game against the Orioles.

Advice: Taveras will get a breather Saturday after going 3-for-7 with an RBI through the first two games of the series. Derek Hill will fill the void in center field and bat ninth. Rotowire.com Today, 1:54 pm

    • Finishing month on uptick
Taveras went 1-for-3 with a walk, a stolen base and an RBI in Friday's 2-1 loss to the Orioles.

Advice: Taveras had a bases-loaded walk and swiped his ninth bag in the loss. He's set up for a fourth consecutive season of double-digit steals. The outfielder was having a brutal month, but he's finishing June on an upswing. After enduring a 2-for-45 (.044) stretch over 14 games, Taveras has hit safely in seven of the subsequent 10 contests, going 9-for-29 (.310) with three steals, a home run, five RBI and an additional three runs scored. • Collects three hits Friday
Judge went 3-for-5 with three runs and two RBI in a 16-5 win against the Blue Jays on Friday.

Advice: It was unusual for Judge rack up three hits without any that went for extra bases -- coming into Friday, 54 of his 88 hits on the season had been of the extra-base variety. Nonetheless, the slugger's ninth-inning, two-run single resulted in his recording of at least one RBI for the sixth time over his past 10 contests. Judge has been red-hot over that stretch, slashing .382/.462/.853 with five home runs, 16 RBI and nine runs scored. Rotowire.com Today, 7:20 am

    • Homer, steal in win
Chapman went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run and a stolen base in Friday's 5-3 win over the Dodgers.

Advice: Chapman's power has come back, as he has three extra-base hits -- including two homers -- over his last five games. The third baseman gave the Giants their first lead Friday with his sixth-inning blast. For the season, he's up to 10 homers, 35 RBI, 53 runs scored and seven steals while posting a .235/.316/.399 slash line over 80 contests. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:37 pm

    • Matt Chapman homers, steals base in victory
Matt Chapman stole a base and hit a two-run homer in a win for the Giants on Friday over the Dodgers.

Advice: Chapman hit a two-run homer off Daniel Hudson for his 10th homer of the season, and he stole his seventh bag of the year for good measure. The 31-year-old has been a mild disappointment thus far in 2024 — depending on expectations, of course — with a .235/.316/.399 slash, but the homers and steals have help balance things out a bit. • Goes deep again
Rengifo went 2-for-4 with a two-run homer and two runs scored in Friday's win over Detroit.

Advice: Rengifo got things started with a two-run shot in the first inning. It was his sixth of the year and the first time this season he's gone deep in two straight games. He's produced four multi-hit performances in his last five games, boosting his season OPS from .770 to .808 in the process. Rengifo is slashing .315/.361/.447 with 18 extra-base hits, 20 steals and 34 runs scored this season. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:40 pm
