    • Getting breather Saturday
Moreno is out of the lineup for Saturday's game against San Diego.

Advice: Moreno had started in four straight games since being activated from the injured list and will yield to Jose Herrera behind the dish Saturday. Moreno owns a .714 OPS and a 15.3 percent K rate across 235 plate appearances this season. Rotowire.com Today, 5:03 pm
    • Four hits in win
Arenado went 4-for-5 with a double and two runs scored in Friday's 7-6 extra-innings win over the Nationals.

Advice: Arenado had one of his best games of the season. Even with his four hits, he remains cold in terms of run production -- he has just two RBI over his last 14 contests. For the year, he's at a .265/.317/.377 slash line with seven home runs, 34 RBI, 32 runs scored, 14 doubles and a stolen base over 81 games. Rotowire.com Today, 10:13 am

    • Swipes 43rd bag
De La Cruz went 1-for-2 with two walks, a run scored and a stolen base in Friday's 5-4 loss to the Tigers.

Advice: It marked the first time since June 16 that the 22-year-old drew multiple free passes, while the stolen base was his league-leading 43rd of the year -- 15 ahead of second-place Brice Turang. De La Cruz can be streaky, but he's red hot right now, slashing .352/.417/.704 over his last 13 games with 10 extra-base hits (four doubles, three triples and three homers), six steals, eight RBI and 13 runs. • Adbert Alzolay (forearm) throwing bullpen sessions
Adbert Alzolay (forearm) has progressed to throwing bullpen sessions.

Advice: Cubs pitching coach Tommy Hottovy told reporters Friday that Alzolay is progressing well and will ramp up to facing hitters at some point later this month. The 29-year-old righty has been out since mid-May due to a right forearm flexor strain. Rotoworld Today, 6:55 am

    • Clutch homer versus Yankees
Yoshida went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Friday's 5-3 extra-inning win over the Yankees.

Advice: With the Red Sox down 3-1 in the ninth inning, Yoshida crushed a Clay Holmes sinker deep to right field, tying the game and setting the stage for further heroics from Ceddanne Rafaela in the 10th. It was Yoshida's third homer of the season and first since April 20, snapping a 21-game drought that included a six-week absence due to a thumb injury. The 30-year-old may be feeling 100 percent again, however -- over his last nine games, he's batting .364 (12-for-33) with two doubles in addition to Friday's long ball. Rotowire.com Today, 6:53 am
    • Carlos Correa hits grand slam in loss to Astros
Carlos Correa hit his third career grand slam Friday against the Astros.

Advice: The slam was off Josh Hader in the ninth, but the Twins still came up a little short after scoring seven runs in the final frame of a 13-12 loss. It was Correa’s 11th homer this year., and he’s been one of the AL’s best players while batting .307/.377/.514. Rotoworld Yesterday, 11:53 pm

    • Masataka Yoshida hits game-tying homer in ninth
Masataka Yoshida went 1-for-4 with a dramatic two-run home run in a 5-3 win for the Red Sox over the Yankees on Friday.

Advice: This was a great moment for Yoshida in what’s been a disastrous season. Down to his final strike, he took Clay Holmes deep to push this game to extra innings where the Red Sox would eventually win it. It was Yoshida’s first homer since April 20th as a thumb strain kept him out for about six weeks. Still, he’s started against every right-handed pitcher since returning from the IL and is 8-for-22 over his last five games. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:09 pm
    • Escapes with save
Doval allowed a hit and a walk in a scoreless inning Friday, striking out one and earning a save over Cleveland.

Advice: Doval put the first two batters of the inning on base but escaped the jam to close out the 4-2 win. It was his third straight save conversion, and he's now 17 for 20 in opportunities this season. Doval has not looked like his usual self, however, as his current ERA and WHIP of 4.04 and 1.54, respectively, are both career highs. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:58 pm

    • Max Fried can’t stop Phillies’ bats
Max Fried allowed 11 hits and five earned runs in six innings of work on Friday against the Phillies. He struck out four and walked one in a loss.

Advice: This was a pivotal game for the Braves as they try to claw their way back into the NL East race and Fried simply did not have it. He lived in the heart of the zone and the Phillies made him pay time and time again. They had base runners in five out of six innings and looked incredibly comfortable in the box all night. Fried was fortunate to get through this start with only five earned runs. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:48 pm
