      Bobby Witt Jr. crushed his 13th home run of the season on Tuesday night, but it wasn’t enough to lead the Royals to victory over the Rays.

      Advice: The 24-year-old superstar got the Royals on the board with his 399-foot (108.0 mph EV) solo shot off of Kevin Kelly in the sixth inning. That would be his lone hit in four at-bats on the night. Witt has been a five-category monster for fantasy purposes this season, slashing .311/.362/.539 with 13 homers, 55 RBI, 66 runs scored and 22 stolen bases through his first 87 games.       Robert went 2-for-4 with a home run, four RBI and a stolen base in a 7-6 loss to the Guardians on Tuesday.

      Advice: Robert hit a two-run home run in the sixth inning and added a two-run single and stolen base in the seventh. The outfielder has tallied seven hits and three home runs during a modest five-game hit streak and has hit safely in eight of his past ten contests.       Alexis Díaz pitched a scoreless ninth inning to earn a save in a 5-4 win over the Yankees on Tuesday.

      Advice: Díaz has now converted 11 straight save chances and has pitched to a 1.98 ERA in 14 2/3 innings over that stretch. However, some of the early command issues remain as Díaz has a 13.2 percent walk rate over that same span. He may remain volatile given his subpar command and he doesn’t miss as many bats as your typical closer, but he remains locked into the closer’s role on a solid team and will continue to rack up saves.       Luis Robert Jr. went 2-for-4 with a home run, four RBI, and a stolen base in a loss to the Guardians on Tuesday.

      Advice: Robert drove in two runs on a 363-foot home run in the sixth inning and then knocked in two more on a game-tying single in the seventh. He’s now up to 10 home runs on the season but just 18 RBIs in a depleted White Sox lineup. He also has four steals to add to his five-category fantasy upside. On the other hand, he also didn’t even attempt to throw out the winning run at home on a routine fly ball to center field in the ninth inning, so it’s fair to wonder how motivated he might be on a White Sox team going nowhere with rumors of trades swirling.       Bryan Woo (hamstring) threw a 20-pitch bullpen session over the weekend.

      Advice: Mariners manager Scott Servais told reporters Woo will throw a more extended side session this week. The 24-year-old righty hit the injured list last week with a right hamstring strain, but the fact that he’s already throwing is a sign that he’s not going to require a lengthy absence.     • Jack Flaherty not starting Wednesday vs. Twins
      Jack Flaherty will not make his next scheduled start on Wednesday against the Twins due to an ongoing back issue.

      Advice: Flaherty remained back in Los Angeles following last Thursday’s lackluster start against the Angels where he allowed five runs over 5 2/3 innings to receive a pain-reducing injection in his back. The 28-year-old righty, who has been excellent this season in his Detroit debut, is expected to take the ball next week against the Twins. It doesn’t sound like he’ll require a trip to the injured list, but back issues can be complicated matters and could certainly impact his on-field performance moving forward.       Flaherty will receive a second pain-killing injection in his back and will have his next start pushed back to next week, Jason Beck of MLB.com reports.

      Advice: Flaherty had been slated to start Wednesday in Minnesota but will be held back until next week for a home matchup against the Guardians. It's worrisome that Flaherty has now had two turns skipped over the last month with back problems, but it appears he will again avoid a stint on the injured list.
