      McArthur (1-2) took the loss and blew the save Tuesday against Milwaukee, allowing three runs on three hits and a walk over one inning. He didn't log a strikeout.

      Advice: For a second straight appearance, McArthur took the mound in the ninth with the Royals leading and surrendered a game-altering home run. This time, Willy Adames put the Brewers up 6-5 with a three-run home run that plated William Contreras and Gary Sanchez with two outs. Despite blowing back-to-back saves, fantasy managers shouldn't panic about McArthur considering he hadn't allowed a run in nine consecutive appearances prior to the stretch.     • Settles in after shaky start
      Lugo didn't factor into the decision Tuesday against Milwaukee, allowing three runs on six hits and a walk over 6.2 innings. He struck out five.

      Advice: Lugo gave up a hit and a walk in the first frame, then followed the inning up with back-to-back homers to start the second. After that, however, Lugo retired nine straight batters and kept the Brewers off the scoreboard until the seventh inning. He was seemingly set up for his sixth win of the season with the Royals up 5-3 heading into the ninth, but Willy Adames took Lugo out of contention for the W with a go-ahead three-run home run. Lugo has pitched at least six innings in seven of his eight starts and has gone into the seventh five times. He's scheduled to make his next start Sunday against the Angels.     • Goes yard at Wrigley Field
      Profar went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run during Tuesday's 3-2 loss to the Cubs.

      Advice: Profar was the only source of offense for the Padres, providing a two-run homer in the top of the eighth to put San Diego ahead 2-1. However, the Cubs scored a run in the eighth and ninth to erase Profar's long ball and steal the win. At the age of 31, Profar has enjoyed a breakout season, boasting a .958 OPS and a 179 WRC+ through 150 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:16 pm

      Neris (2-0) worked around a hit and a walk to pitch a scoreless ninth inning and earn the win Tuesday against the Padres.

      Advice: Neris pitched a clean top of the ninth inning, then scooped up a win when Michael Busch homered in bottom half of the frame to break a 2-2 tie. On a less positive note, the veteran allowed multiple baserunners for the second straight game, which would be a concerning trend if it continues.     • Seth Lugo turns in quality start in no-decision
      Seth Lugo yielded three runs in 6 2/3 innings Tuesday in a no-decision against the Brewers.

      Advice: Lugo got just five missed swings tonight, but he wound up with five strikeouts anyway. Back-to-back homers from Rhys Hoskins and Joey Ortiz in the second inning accounted for most of the damage. Lugo will get the Angels on the road next time out. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:48 pm
       
    • James McArthur allows three-run homer to blow save
      James McArthur took his second straight blown save after giving up a three-run homer to Willy Adames against the Brewers on Tuesday.

      Advice: This was worse than Sunday, when he gave up one run in the ninth. McArthur still has a nice 18/3 K/BB ratio in 16 1/3 innings and the homer was only the second he’s given up, so he should be safe for now. That said, it’d be bad if he blew another one right away. John Schreiber is surely next in line for save chances in Kansas City right now. It still doesn’t look like John McMillon, who has been terribly wild in Triple-A, will be a factor anytime soon.     • Profar’s two-run homer not enough in loss to Cubs
      Jurickson Profar went 1-for-4 with a home run and two RBI in Tuesday’s loss to the Cubs.

      Advice: Profar blasted a two-run homer off of Shota Imanaga in the eighth inning to give the Padres a 2-1 lead after being stifled by Imanaga through the first seven frames. The veteran left field continues to stay hot at the plate, as he’s now 10-for-23 in the month of May with two homers and eight RBI. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:26 pm
       
    • Volpe homers in win over Astros
      Anthony Volpe went 1-for-5 with a home run and three RBI in a win over the Astros on Tuesday.

      Advice: Volpe hit a two-run homer off Justin Verlander in the fourth inning that traveled 354 feet and left the bat at 99.6 mph. He also had a 104.6 mph lineout and is starting to see the ball a little bit better after a long cold streak. Coming into the day, Volpe was slashing just .163/.247/.238 over his previous 20 games with just one home run and a 29 percent strikeout rate. It’s pretty clear that the torrid start to the season was just a hot streak, but Volpe still makes quality contact and has been operating as the Yankees’ leadoff hitter, which will continue to boost his fantasy value. He’ll get hot again but also expect some cold streaks mixed in as he continues to fine-tune his approach at the MLB level. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:21 pm
       
    • Luis Gil handles Astros in win on Tuesday
      Luis Gil allowed one run on one hit in six innings in a win over the Astros.

      Advice: Gil was effectively wild on Tuesday, which is something we’ve come to expect from the 25-year-old. He walked four on the day and had just a 42 percent zone rate; however, he also had a 23 percent whiff rate and struck out five batters. Much of Gil’s success came on the changeup which had a 40 percent whiff rate, while his four-seam fastball was his most effective strike pitch. At some point, Gil is not going to be able to keep walking this tightrope, but he has a 2.92 ERA on the season and has two solid outings coming up against the Rays and White Sox.
