      Advice: The Orioles' offense went from hot to cold in a hurry -- Westburg's home runs in back-to-back games are their only scoring plays in those contests. The infielder is still warm, going 16-for-57 (.280) over his last 14 games with four homers, four doubles, two triples and nine RBI in that span.       Josh Smith went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in a win over the Royals on Sunday.

      Advice: Smith took Sam Long deep 383 feet at 102.2 mph for his seventh home run on the season. The 26-year-old has been brilliant filling in for Josh Jung, hitting .303/.391/.478 on the year. Considering his ability to play all over the field, he should be able to fight for consistent playing time even when Jung returns. Provided he keeps hitting like this.     • Jordan Westburg homers (again) in loss
      Jordan Westburg went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in a loss to the Astros on Sunday.

      Advice: Just like on Saturday, Westburg homered but the Orioles offense couldn’t do much else. Westburg now has 13 home runs and 45 RBI so far on the season; however, he did also strike out twice on Sunday and his batting average is down to .277 on the season. Westburg swings often so it doesn’t always matter that he swings and misses a lot, but he will have stretches where those whiffs drag the batting average down a bit.     • Jazz Chisholm Jr. returns at DH on Sunday vs. M’s
      Jazz Chisholm Jr. (biceps) is in the lineup for Sunday’s series finale against the Mariners.

      Advice: It’s a rare bit of positive injury news for Miami as Chisholm is back at designated hitter for Sunday’s series finale following an early exit from Saturday’s game due to right biceps tightness.       Smith started at third base and went 2-for-3 with a solo home run in Saturday's 6-0 win over Kansas City.

      Advice: Smith made a second consecutive start in the field after serving as a designated hitter for a pair of games. He had been dealing with a hamstring injury that forced him to miss four games before returning as the DH. Now that he's back in the field, the question becomes how long he will be there. Third baseman Josh Jung (wrist) rejoined the team Friday and will take live batting practice Tuesday. If all goes well, Jung could be activated off the 60-day injured list afterward. The Rangers would like to keep Smith's bat in the lineup; he's batting .304/.393/.469 over a career-high 259 plate appearances.       Advice: Westburg opened the scoring in the second inning, but that was the extent of the Orioles' run production. He's been solid lately, going 15-for-53 (.283) over his last 13 contests with nine extra-base hits in that span, though he's also struck out 15 times.       Kwan went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and a double in Saturday's 6-3 win over the Blue Jays.

      Advice: Kwan saw a 14-game hitting streak end Friday with an 0-for-4 performance, but he rebounded nicely Saturday. The homer was his third in June, and he's added six doubles, 10 RBI and 16 runs scored this month. The outfielder has matched his career high with six long balls, and with over half of the season to go, he has a reasonable chance at double digits.       Jazz Chisholm Jr. was removed from Saturday’s game against the Mariners due to tightness in his right biceps.

      Advice: The 26-year-old outfielder had been 1-for-2 with a single and a strikeout when Vidal Brujan surprisingly hit for him in the sixth inning. The severity of the injury is not yet known, so be sure to check his status on Sunday.       Steven Kwan went 2-for-4 with a double and a home run against the Blue Jays on Saturday.

      Advice: Is there anything Kwan can’t do? The home run was his sixth of the year and second in his last four games. After going 0-for-4 on Friday to snap his 14-game hitting streak, he bounced back with another two hits. Kwan has been one of the best hitters in the league.
