    • Fills in at shortstop
Smith started at shortstop and went 2-for-5 with an RBI in Sunday's 11-2 win over Baltimore.

Advice: Smith got the start at shortstop with Corey Seager (wrist) day-to-day. Seager was hit by a pitch during Saturday's game and, although X-rays came back negative, took a seat for the series finale against the Orioles. The Rangers are off Monday, giving Seager another 24 hours of healing, before a three-game set against the Padres. Once Seager is deemed healthy enough to return to shortstop, Smith will head back to third base, where he will continue to fill in for the injured Josh Jung (wrist), who may be back in the lineup soon, though the team is still evaluating him. • Knocks three hits
Ramos went 3-for-5 with two doubles, two runs scored and one RBI in Sunday's win over the Dodgers.

Advice: Ramos knocked an RBI double and scored a run in the fourth inning before doubling and scoring again in the eighth. The 24-year-old outfielder has cooled off a bit in the second half of the month, going just 10-for-50 (.200) over his last 12 games. Still, he finishes June with 14 extra-base hits while hitting .304 (34-for-112) across 27 games. Ramos is now slashing .294/.368/.508 with 37 RBI and 20 extra-base hits through 48 games. • Drives in winning runs
Turner went 3-for-5 with two RBI and two strikeouts in Sunday's 7-6 win over the Marlins.

Advice: Turner gave himself the best birthday present by driving in the go-ahead runs in Sunday's win. He hit a two-run single in the seventh to complete the Phillies comeback after trailing 6-2. Turner has had three multi-hit games over his last five and at least one hit in 10 of his last 12. The veteran has been doing very well since returning from the injured list June. 17 and is now hitting .332/.380/.453 for the season. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 3:41 pm

    • Heliot Ramos powers Giants to blowout win over Dodgers
Heliot Ramos went 3-for-5 with an RBI on Sunday, sparking the Giants to a 10-4 blowout victory over the Dodgers.

Advice: Ramos was once again at the epicenter of an impressive afternoon for San Francisco’s offense as his three-hit performance helped spark the Giants to an eventual blowout win where they tallied 10 runs on 16 hits. The 24-year-old outfielder is in the midst of a sustained breakout campaign where he’s batting .294/.368/.878 with 10 homers, 37 RBI and one steal over 212 plate appearances through 48 games. • Continues to dominate
Bradley (3-4) earned the win Sunday, allowing no runs on three hits and two walks over 5.2 innings against the Nationals. He struck out 11.

Advice: Bradley held the Nationals off the board while matching a season high in strikeouts. Since allowing nine runs and four homers against Baltimore on June 1, Bradley has been on a heater, posting five-consecutive starts allowing two earned runs or fewer while accumulating double-digit strikeout totals during two of those outings. During that stretch, he's completed 29 innings, allowing just four earned runs (1.24 ERA) with a 1.00 WHIP and 40 strikeouts. He'll look to keep things rolling during his next start, tentatively slated to take place next weekend when the Rays travel to Arlington to take on the Rangers. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 3:32 pm

    • Slugs 10th homer
Vaughn went 2-for-4 with a solo home run, a walk and two additional RBI in Sunday's 5-4 loss to the Rockies.

Advice: Vaughn tied the game in the seventh inning with an RBI walk before knotting the game up in the 10th inning with a sacrifice fly. The 26-year-old quietly had an impressive month of June, batting .337 with six home runs, 20 RBI and 17 runs scored in 25 games played. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 3:12 pm

    • Vaughn belts 10th home run, drives in three Sunday
Andrew Vaughn went 2-for-4 with a walk, a solo home run and three RBI against the Rockies on Sunday.

Advice: Vaughn’s home run was his 10th of the year. He hit a solo shot off Kyle Freeland in the fourth inning to bring the White Sox within a run, walked with the bases loaded in the seventh inning to tie the game and hit a sacrifice fly in the 10th inning to tie the game. Vaughn is 34-for-106 (.320) with six home runs and 20 RBI over his last 27 games. He’s hitting .244 with a .693 OPS and 39 RBI on the season.

    • Gives up two homers in loss
Waldron (5-7) took the loss Sunday against the Red Sox. He gave up four runs (three earned) on six hits, one walk and three strikeouts over 4.1 innings.

Advice: Waldron was plagued by the long ball, as he allowed two homers in a start for the first time this season. He snapped a streak of nine straight starts in which he allowed two runs or fewer. The knuckleballer has been a revelation for the Padres rotation this season, and he'll take a 3.56 ERA and 1.19 WHIP into his next start vs. the Diamondbacks. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 2:21 pm

    • Matt Waldron pulled in fifth in loss to Red Sox
Matt Waldron yielded four runs — three earned — in 4 1/3 innings Sunday in a loss to the Red Sox.

Advice: Waldron didn’t seem to have his best knuckler today, and the Red Sox wound up with eight hard-hit balls against him, including a pair of homers. This snaps a string of six straight quality starts for Waldron. He hadn’t pitched fewer than five innings or allowed more than two runs in nine starts since May 5. Rotoworld Yesterday, 1:38 pm
