    • Cruises to sixth win
Eovaldi (6-3) earned the win Sunday over the Rays, allowing two runs on four hits and striking out five without walking a batter over seven innings.

Advice: Eovaldi limited the damage to a two-run home run by Jose Caballero in the third inning, and the Rangers generated plenty of offense to counter that. This is the third start in a row where Eovaldi's completed seven innings, though it was a small step back from his one-hit outing versus the Padres last Tuesday. The right-hander has a 3.10 ERA, 1.03 WHIP and 85:26 K:BB across 87 innings through 15 starts this season. He's projected for a road start in Houston his next time out. Rotowire.com Today, 4:12 pm
    • Nathan Eovaldi shines in win over Rays
Nathan Eovaldi allowed two runs on four hits in seven innings in a win over the Rays on Sunday while striking out five and walking none.

Advice: Eovaldi induced 16 whiffs on 49 swings for a 33 percent whiff rate and 33 percent CSW on the day. His splitter and curve missed tons of bats on the day, and he pounded the zone with his fastball to lower his ERA to 3.10 on the season. He has a tough start lined up against the Astros next week, but we know Kyle Tucker will not be back for that one, which makes it a little less intimidating. Rotoworld Today, 2:29 pm
    • Picks up seventh win
Lopez (7-2) earned the win Sunday, allowing no runs on two hits and three walks over six innings against the Phillies. He struck out six.

Advice: Lopez dominated once again with his sixth start of the season with five or more innings and zero runs allowed, tying him with Tarik Skubal for the most such appearances in MLB. Lopez lowered his ERA to an MLB-leading 1.71 in the process. It's tied for the fifth-lowest by an Atlanta player in his first 16 starts of a season since 1912 and the lowest since Tom Glavine in 2002. The 30-year-old is already up to 89.2 innings this season, which is his most since 2019, so his workload will be something to monitor in the second half of the season. • Reynaldo López shuts down Phillies, drops ERA to 1.71
Reynaldo López twirled six shutout innings on Sunday in a 6-0 win over the Phillies. He struck out six batters and walked three en route to the win.

Advice: All López does is keep runs off the board. This was the sixth start this season where he didn’t allow an earned run and he hasn’t allowed more than three in any outing. His fastball filled up the zone and his slider put the Phillies’ hitters away. He is a lock for the All-Star team and it’s a bit shocking the White Sox kept him in the bullpen for as long as they did. Rotoworld Today, 1:18 pm

    • On track for activation Tuesday
Phillies manager Rob Thomson confirmed Sunday that Schwarber (groin) will be activated from the 10-day injured list prior to Tuesday's series opener versus the Dodgers, Todd Zolecki of MLB.com reports.

Advice: After running on the field at approximately 90 percent intensity Saturday, Schwarber cleared the final hurdle in his recovery from a left groin strain by sprinting at full speed during a pregame workout Sunday. The Phillies apparently feel comfortable enough with Schwarber's health to let him return from the IL without heading out on a rehab assignment beforehand. Schwarber has made just three of his 78 starts in left field this season, and the Phillies will most likely deploy him strictly as a designated hitter during the upcoming week to lessen the possibility of a setback with the groin heading into the All-Star break. The 31-year-old's upcoming return will presumably result in fewer opportunities for David Dahl. Rotowire.com Today, 1:05 pm

    • Getting mental day off
Garcia is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Rays.

Advice: According to Kennedi Landry of MLB.com, manager Bruce Bochy said that Garcia isn't dealing with an injury and is getting "more of a mental day than a physical day" as the Rangers wrap up their series with the Rays. Travis Jankowski will occupy right field in place of Garcia, who has gone hitless over 10 at-bats in his last three starts to bring his season-long batting average down to .215. • Checking back into lineup
Smith (glute) will start at third base and bat third in Sunday's game against the Rays.

Advice: Smith had been out of the lineup for the past two days with glute tightness, but he'll be ready to give it a go for the series finale. The 26-year-old will carry a four-game hitting streak into Sunday's contest and is slashing .291/.391/.509 overall wit three home runs, nine RBI and seven runs in his last 15 games. • Josh Smith returning to lineup Sunday vs. Rays
Josh Smith (lower body) is hitting third and playing third base against the Rays on Sunday.

Advice: Smith missed Friday and Saturday’s game due to glute tightness, but he’s well enough to man the hot corner for Sunday’s finale against the Rays with the Rangers looking to procure a sweep. Jonathan Ornelas retreats to the bench with Smith back in action. Rotoworld Today, 9:09 am

    • Adolis García not starting Sunday against Rays
Adolis García is not in the starting lineup for Sunday’s bout against the Rays.

Advice: García will take a seat to begin Sunday’s game as he continues to struggle with a .215/.280/.413 slash, and he’s gone hitless in his last 10 at-bats over three games. Travis Jankowski will be the starting right fielder with Derek Hill the designated hitter. Rotoworld Today, 9:06 am
