    • Swats homer Tuesday
Soto went 1-for-3 with a solo home run, an additional run and two walks in Tuesday's loss to the Mets.

Advice: Soto plated the Yankees' first run with his solo shot in the fifth inning, though the Mets had already built a big lead by that time. The long ball was the first extra-base hit over the outfielder's past eight games, and he's batted an uncharacteristically poor .160 (4-for-25) during that stretch. Soto has continued to reach base consistently, however, due to his willingness to take a walk -- across the eight-game span, he's accumulated an 11:6 BB:K, and he leads the league with 65 total walks on the season. • Pilfers 14th bag in win
Chisholm went 1-for-4 with a stolen base in Tuesday's win over the Royals.

Advice: Despite the sparse stat line, Chisholm played a key role in the victory -- he smashed an infield single back at Will Smith in the seventh inning, and Nick Gordon came home with the winning run on the southpaw's throwing error. Chisholm has had a productive June so far, slashing .286/.338/.414 through 21 contests with two of his 10 homers and three of his 14 steals on the season. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 8:05 am
    • Still at third base
Smith started at third base and went 1-for-3 with an RBI in Tuesday's 3-1 loss to the Brewers. He was also hit by a pitch.

Advice: Smith gave the Rangers an early lead in the top of the first inning, but the offense was silenced for the last eight frames. The HBP was his second in as many games and third over the last five; he leads MLB in that category with 12. It was thought Smith's run at third base might come to end this week, but Josh Jung (wrist) experienced a setback and is not expected to return during the Rangers' road trip that ends Sunday in Baltimore. • Picks up steal
Kwan went 1-for-5 with one RBI, a stolen base and one run scored in Tuesday's 10-8 win over the Orioles.

Advice: Kwan has let his bat do the talking since he returned from a hamstring injury, going 33-for-75 (.440) over his last 19 contests. Predictably, he hasn't tried his luck much on the bases, going 1-for-2 in stolen base attempts in that span. He's now at a .385/.443/.563 slash line with seven home runs, 24 RBI, 48 runs scored and four steals over 51 contests, and it's safe to assume his speed will remain down given his history of hamstring issues. • Josh Smith drives in lone run for Rangers in loss
Josh Smith went 1-for-3 with an RBI in Tuesday’s loss to the Brewers.

Advice: Smith singled off Hoby Milner in the first inning to score Corey Seager from second, giving the Rangers an early 1-0 lead and their only run of the game. Smith was responsible for just one of five hits the Rangers had on the night, but the young third baseman has turned in a solid June, going 22-for-61 (.361) at the plate with eight extra-base hits and 10 RBI. • Goes deep in loss
Garcia went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and a walk in Monday's loss to the Brewers.

Advice: Garcia gave the Rangers a 3-1 lead with his sixth-inning blast, though the advantage was wiped out on a Rhys Hoskins grand slam in the bottom of the frame. As with Hoskins, Garcia's homer ended an extended power drought -- the outfielder hadn't gone deep in any of his past 17 games and had driven in just one run during that span. Garcia is tied for the Rangers' lead with 14 long balls on the season, but he's below pace to match the 39 homers and 107 RBI he racked up last year. Rotowire.com Monday, 11:51 pm
    • Smacks three hits in win
Ramos went 3-for-4 with a double and a walk in Monday's 5-4 win over the Cubs.

Advice: Ramos went 1-for-22 over his previous five games before breaking out of the slump emphatically in Monday's contest. The outfielder started June hot and has claimed an everyday role in center field. Overall, he's slashing .301/.375/.534 with 10 home runs, 35 RBI, 17 runs scored, one stolen base and eight doubles over 184 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Monday, 11:00 pm

    • Sitting again amid slump
Freeman is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Orioles.

Advice: For the second time in three days, Freeman will hit the bench as the Guardians open up room in center field for Daniel Schneemann. Over his last 10 games, Freeman has gone 4-for-31 at the plate, and his June swoon could end up costing him his regular spot in the starting lineup. Rotowire.com Monday, 1:57 pm

    • Goes yard again
Smith went 1-for-4 with a solo home run during Sunday's 4-0 win over Kansas City.

Advice: Smith tagged Sam Long for a solo shot in the seventh inning, marking Smith's third home run in the last five games. During that stretch, he's 7-for-13 with six RBI. With third baseman Josh Jung (wrist) nearing a return, Smith could shift away from the hot corner and into the DH slot. Rotowire.com Sunday, 10:40 pm
