    Advice: In his most recent start Friday against the Astros, Kirby contended with a right knee issue and was lifted after just 88 pitches. Kirby was sent in for an MRI on Saturday, and though the Mariners aren't disclosing the results of his imaging, neither the pitcher nor manager Scott Servais believe the knee issue is anything concerning, per MLB.com. The Mariners' tune could change if Kirby's knee is still bothering him following a between-starts bullpen session, but for now, fantasy managers should plan on the right-hander being available to start Wednesday without restrictions.     Ragans (calf) is listed as the Royals' probable starting pitcher for Monday's game against the Brewers in Kansas City.

    Advice: Ragans experienced cramping in his left calf in his most recent start this past Tuesday against the Blue Jays, but he had already tossed 6.2 innings (105 pitches) and likely wouldn't have stayed in the game any longer even if he wasn't experiencing any discomfort. The Royals didn't suggest that Ragans required any follow-up testing, so he's not expected to face any restrictions as he takes the hill Monday for his eighth start of the season.   • Will get another start
    Blue Jays manager John Schneider said after Sunday's 11-8 loss to the Nationals that Manoah will remain in the rotation for at least one more turn, Kaitlyn McGrath of The Athletic reports.

    Advice: After Manoah struck out 12 over six innings of one-run ball in the fifth start of his minor-league rehab assignment with Triple-A Buffalo, the Blue Jays determined he was ready to return from a season-opening stint on the 15-day injured list due to shoulder inflammation. While taking the hill Sunday for the Blue Jays for the first time since Aug. 10, 2023, Manoah unfortunately reverted to the poor form that he displayed throughout last season, as he was tagged for seven runs (six earned) on six hits and four walks while striking out six over four innings. Though Manoah remained plagued by spotty control (52 strikes on 92 pitches) and command, Schneider stressed that the right-hander's standing in the rotation wouldn't be determined by just one start. Manoah thus looks on track to get at least another opportunity to redeem himself, though it's not immediately clear when his next start will come. Manoah tentatively lines up for a home start next Sunday against the Twins, but the Blue Jays have off days Monday and Thursday and could get by with a four-man rotation until at least May 14 in Baltimore if they so choose.     Paxton (4-0) earned the win over Atlanta on Sunday, allowing one run on five hits and two walks while striking out three over 6.2 innings.

    Advice: The only real damage against Paxton came from a solo home run to Marcell Ozuna in the seventh. Paxton put together his most efficient outing of the year, needing only 84 pitches to get 20 outs, as his two walks were his fewest in a start since April 8. Paxton's strikeout numbers remain significantly lower compared to his career numbers, but he's still finding ways to grind out results.     Advice: Ohtani moved into a tie for first place in the majors with his ninth and 10th home runs of the season, and his perfect day at the dish also brought his average up to .364, vaulting him past the Phillies' Alec Bohm (.360) for the best mark in baseball. The lefty-hitting Ohtani did all his damage against southpaws, opening the day with a two-run blast in the first inning and base hits in the third and sixth innings off Max Fried before tacking on a 464-foot solo shot off A.J.     Garrett (shoulder) is scheduled to cover around six innings or 75 pitches Monday in a rehab start with the Marlins' rookie-level Florida Complex League affiliate, MLB.com reports.

    Advice: Garrett made the fourth start of his rehab assignment this past Wednesday with Triple-A Jacksonville and looked sharp over five scoreless innings, scattering one hit and three walks while striking out three. Since he was lifted after 61 pitches, Garrett will need one more outing in the minors to get fully stretched out for starting duty before the Marlins are comfortable bringing him back from the 15-day injured list. Assuming Monday's rehab outing in rookie ball goes smoothly, Garrett should be activated this weekend and will likely slot into the rotation either Saturday or Sunday against the Phillies.     Advice: Luzardo needed just 67 pitches to cruise through his 5.2 frames. Per Kevin Barral of FishonFirst.com, Luzardo averaged 95.1 miles per hour and touched 96.4 mph with his four-seam fastball. The Marlins will likely wait a couple days to make sure Luzardo recovers from the rehab start without any issues, but he should be set up to return from the 15-day injured list for this weekend's series versus the Phillies.   • Ohtani posts four hits, two homers to beat Braves
    Shohei Ohtani went 4-for-4 with two home runs, three RBI and two runs scored on Sunday, leading the Dodgers to a 5-1 win over the Braves.

    Advice: This guy is pretty good. Ohtani got things started in the first inning with a 412-foot two-run shot off of Max Fried and then absolutely annihilated a 464-foot solo homer in the eighth inning that left the bat at 110.6 mph.   • Max Fried allows four runs in loss to Dodgers
    Max Fried allowed four runs on four hits in seven innings in a loss to the Dodgers on Sunday.

    Advice: Fried pitched well enough on the day, striking out seven and walking three while posting a 20 percent whiff rate and 30 percent CSW. He didn’t have his best command and had a zone rate under 50 percent on the day, but he avoided major damage until giving up a two-run home run to Teoscar Hernandez in the sixth inning.
