    • Diaz knocks in three Thursday
      Yainer Diaz went 1-for-4 with a double, 3 RBI and a run scored against the Athletics on Thursday.

      Advice: Diaz opened the scoring with a bases-clearing double in the third inning off Joey Estes and the route was on from there. He hit 23 home runs in 104 games last year, but his power is noticeably down this year. His .119 ISO is well below his .256 ISO from last year. Diaz doesn’t walk often, but has cut his strikeout percentage to 13 percent so far this year. He’s not going to fall off a cliff if that keeps up, but he’s not exactly delivering on his lofty preseason draft price so far either. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:10 pm

    • Aaron Judge doubles twice in victory over Twins
      Aaron Judge doubled twice on Thursday in the Yankees’ win over the Twins.

      Advice: Judge scalded a pair of doubles in this one that carried exit velocities over 108 mph and traveled over 400 feet, but wound up staying in the yard at spacious Target Field in Minnesota. He finished 2-for-3 with a walk, reaching base safely in three of his four plate appearances in the one-sided affair. The 32-year-old former AL MVP has rebounded from a frosty start at the dish this season, batting .396 (19-for-48) with five homers and nine doubles in 14 contests since the start of May.       Judge went 4-for-4 with a solo home run, three doubles, a walk, two RBI and two runs scored in Wednesday's 4-0 win over the Twins.

      Advice: Judge opened the scoring with his first-inning solo shot and added an RBI double in the seventh. The outfielder has locked in with power over his last 10 games, going 16-for-36 (.444) with five homers, seven doubles, 11 RBI and 11 runs scored in that span. He was batting .207 at the end of April, but he's up to a .255/.386/.540 slash line with 11 homers, 29 RBI, 24 runs scored two stolen bases and 13 doubles over 44 contests.     • Lowers ERA to 1.37
      Suarez (8-0) earned the win over the Mets on Wednesday, allowing two unearned runs on four hits and two walks while striking out three batters over five innings.

      Advice: Suarez allowed a run in each of the first and third frames, but neither run was earned. The left-hander thus lowered his season ERA to 1.37, third best in the majors among qualified starters. Suarez also leads the league with eight victories and a 0.76 WHIP, and he has yet to take a loss.     • Aaron Judge hammers 467-foot homer
      Aaron Judge went 4-for-4 with a mammoth home run, three doubles, two runs scored, two RBI, and a walk in the Yankees’ 4-0 win over the Twins on Wednesday.

      Advice: Judge opened the scoring in this one with a solo-shot onto the third deck of Target Field and never made an out. It was the second time in three games Judge had four batted balls over 100 MPH and he’s raised his OPS from .645 to .926 since April 22nd. Rotoworld Wednesday, 8:27 pm

      Jeremy Peña went 2-for-4 with a run scored in a 3-0 win over the Athletics on Wednesday.

      Advice: Peña led off the fourth inning with a base hit and scored on a sacrifice fly by Mauricio Dubón. He later started the sixth inning with a single, but was stranded on the bases. The multi-hit day brings Peña slash line to an impressive .333/.375/.455 with four homers, 26 runs scored, 16 RBI, and six steals across 176 plate appearances. Rotoworld Wednesday, 7:23 pm

    • Ranger Suárez earns win vs. Mets
      Ranger Suárez fought for the win in what was his worst start in weeks. He lasted five innings, walked two, and struck out three in a win over the Mets Wednesday night. Both runs he allowed were unearned.

      Advice: This felt more like the Ranger Suárez of old, nibbling around the zone and unable to put many away. He was able to work out of trouble effectively as the Mets had men on base in four out of five innings and could not start a rally. Suárez’s step forward this season should still be seen as legitimate, but keep an eye on his command as he fell behind 1-0 to 16 of the 33 hitters he faced. Rotoworld Wednesday, 6:53 pm
       
    • Jurickson Profar swipes base in loss on Wednesday
      Jurickson Profar singled and stole a base on Wednesday afternoon as the Padres were shut out by the Rockies.

      Advice: Profar smacked a leadoff single off of Austin Gomber in the fourth inning and swiped second base, but the Padres couldn’t cash him in from there.       Adell isn't in the Angels' lineup for Wednesday's game versus St. Louis, Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com reports.
