A.J. Puk to pitch out of bullpen once healthy
Marlins’ manager Skip Schumaker told reporters on Wednesday that A.J. Puk (shoulder) will work out of the team’s bullpen when he returns from the injured list.
Advice: The 28-year-old left-hander attempted to transition back to the rotation this season, but he wound up making just four starts and compiling a miserable 9.22 ERA, 2.63 WHIP and a 12/17 K/BB ratio over 13 2/3 innings. His already diminished fantasy value will drop down to around zero, unless he can work his way into the closer’s role at some point during the season.
