• Alec Bohm hits two three-run homers in victory
Alec Bohm hit a pair of three-run homers Friday against the White Sox.

Advice: That’s a great night, but his pitcher overshadowed him with a no-hit bid and then Travis d’Arnaud had to go and hit three homers (at least). Both of Bohm’s homers came off Garrett Crochet. The first was a 353-foot shot that Statcast says would have been out of two ballparks, but it doesn’t count for any less. Maybe it’s time for the Phillies to go back to Bohm in the cleanup spot; he currently has 160 points of OPS on JT Realmuto, who is batting one spot ahead of him. Rotoworld 21 minutes ago

  • Andrew Benintendi goes 0-for-4 in defeat
Andrew Benintendi finished 0-for-4 against the Phillies on Friday, dropping his average to .164.

Advice: Benintendi retroactively blamed a wrist injury for his poor showing last year. It’s possible the wrist injury has since spread throughout his body, which might explain why he has just one extra-base hit in 71 plate appearances this year. Unfortunately, there’s nothing really for the White Sox to do here other than keep playing him. Rotoworld 22 minutes ago
  • Gio Urshela leaves game with hamstring tightness
Gio Urshela was pulled from Friday night’s battle against the Twins due to right hamstring tightness.

Advice: Urshela sustained the injury while trying to hustle out a ground ball in the second inning. The severity of the injury is not yet clear, and the 32-year-old infielder will likely undergo additional testing on Saturday. If he’s forced to miss any time, the Tigers may be forced to call up Buddy Kennedy from Triple-A to provide depth for the remainder of their weekend series against the Twins. Rotoworld 23 minutes ago

  • Elly De La Cruz homers, steals three bases
Elly De La Cruz went 2-for-4 with a three-run homer and three stolen bases Friday against the Angels.

Advice: The astonishing thing isn’t that De La Cruz has six homers and 10 steals already; that was always a possibility. No, what’s stunning is that he’s still batting sixth! Reds manager David Bell hit him second all spring, surprised everyone by dropping him to sixth on Opening Day and has since refused to budge, even though De La Cruz has been the Reds’ best hitter in batting .290/.364/.638. De La Cruz will surely slump at some point, but this is a whole lot of fun right now. Rotoworld 43 minutes ago

  • Jo Adell goes 2-for-3, steals base in loss
Jo Adell went 2-for-3 with the Angels’ lone RBI and a stolen base against the Reds on Friday.

Advice: There was also a miscue on the basepaths, but that kind of comes with the territory here. Assuming that they eventually fall out of contention, it’s going to eventually make sense for the Angels to commit to Adell as a full-timer. Once it happens, he could offer some mixed-league value, particularly if he keeps running. He’s now 5-for-7 stealing bases this year. He was 7-for-11 in 178 career games coming into the season. • Exits with hamstring injury
Urshela was removed from Friday's game against the Twins due to right hamstring tightness.

Advice: Urshela appeared to be limping toward the dugout after grounding out in the second inning, and he was replaced at third base by Matt Vierling once the Tigers took the field. The severity of Urshela's injury remains unknown, but Zach McKinstry would likely benefit from additional playing time should the 32-year-old have to miss a few games. Rotowire.com Today, 5:46 pm

  • Gio Urshela exits game with apparent injury Friday
Gio Urshela was removed from Friday’s game against the Twins in the second inning due to an apparent injury.

Advice: The 32-year-old infielder appeared to suffer some sort of leg-related injury as he was running to first base on his groundout in the second inning. He was replaced defensively by Matt Vierling to start the home half of the second inning. Expect the Tigers to provide an update on his status as soon as one becomes available. • Dansby Swanson leads Cubs past Marlins on Friday
Dansby Swanson singled, doubled, scored twice, drove in a run and drew a walk on Friday afternoon, helping to lead the Cubs to an 8-3 victory over the visiting Marlins.

Advice: The 30-year-old shortstop delivered a two-out, run-scoring double off of A.J. Puk in the first inning that extended the Cubs’ early lead to 2-0. He then worked a walk in the third inning and scored on a two-run double by Miguel Amaya. Swanson also smacked a leadoff single to start the fifth inning and came around to score on an RBI knock off the bat of Mike Tauchman. With his two-hit day, Swanson is now slashing .254/.325/.408 to go along with two homers, eight RBI and a pair of stolen bases on the season. Rotoworld Today, 5:03 pm

  • Nico Hoerner collects two hits in win over Marlins
Nico Hoerner went 2-for-5 with a pair of doubles and an RBI as the Cubs triumphed over the Marlins on Friday afternoon.

Advice: Hoerner led off the home half of the first inning with a double off of A.J. Puk and scored the game’s first run on an RBI single off the bat of Cody Bellinger. He then plated a run of his own with a two-out RBI double off of Puk in the second inning. With his two-hit attack, Hoerner is now hitting .258/.382/.355 on the season, though he has still yet to hit a hom run or steal a base. Rotoworld Today, 4:59 pm
