    • Hitting bench Sunday
Moore is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Angels.

Advice: Moore will take a seat in the series finale after he went 1-for-14 with eight strikeouts while starting each of the past four games at either second base or third base. While he remains in the mix for steady playing at the keystone with Jorge Polanco (hamstring) on the injured list, Moore looks to be slowing down at the plate after a hot run over the first three weeks of May. Dating back to May 23, Moore is slashing .103/.297/.138 over a stretch of nine games. If Moore's struggles continue, Ryan Bliss could end up unseating him as the preferred option at second base. • On bench versus lefty
Busch is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Reds.

Advice: It's the third straight game on the bench for the 26-year-old, and this time it comes as lefty Nick Lodolo takes the mound for the Reds. Busch had a hot start to the campaign with a 1.062 OPS in his first 19 contests, but he has a .186/.292/.314 slash line and 38.3 percent strikeout rate in his past 35 games. Patrick Wisdom will start at first base Sunday for the Cubs. Rotowire.com Sunday, 10:50 am

    • Heading to bench Sunday
Fry is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Nationals.

Advice: Fry will head to the bench after a stretch of six consecutive starts during which he slashed .333/.462/.667 with three extra-base hits, one stolen base, eight RBI and five runs. Five of his last six starts came in left field, but with Steven Kwan back from the injured list, Fry could end up seeing most of his opportunities at designated hitter moving forward. Kyle Manzardo represents Fry's primary competition for playing time at DH, but both will be on the bench Sunday while Jose Ramirez gets a day off from third base and but sticks in the starting nine in a non-defensive role. • Dylan Moore not starting Sunday vs. Angels
Dylan Moore is not in the starting lineup for Sunday’s game against the Angels.

Advice: Moore has scuffled as of late, and he’ll get a day off Sunday with Ryan Bliss getting another start at second base. Mitch Haniger is also out for the finale against the Halos with Dominic Canzone starting in right field. Rotoworld Sunday, 10:12 am
    • Taking seat in series finale
Cowser is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Rays.

Advice: After going 1-for-7 with a walk between the first two games of the series versus Tampa Bay, Cowser will hit the bench for the series finale while Austin Hays picks up a start in left field. Cowser had started each of the Orioles' previous seven contests and still appears to be locked into a near-everyday role in the outfield. Rotowire.com Sunday, 9:40 am

    • Requires another rehab start
Miller (shoulder) is scheduled for a rehab start Friday with Triple-A Oklahoma City after he allowed four runs on five hits and one walk over 3.1 innings Saturday for Single-A Rancho Cucamonga, Eric Stephen of SBNation.comreports.

Advice: Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said that Miller experienced some reduced velocity Saturday, but it doesn't appear to be injury related. The right-hander threw 65 pitches for Rancho Cucamonga, but he induced just two swinging strikes and will need to continue building up his workload to about five innings while also honing his effectiveness as he moves up to the Triple-A level. An additional start in the minors after Friday's outing hasn't been ruled out, but Miller could return from the 15-day injured list and slot back into the rotation if all goes well during his upcoming start with Oklahoma City. • Reaches twice in loss
Greene went 2-for-4 with a run scored and an RBI in Saturday's 6-3 loss to the Red Sox.

Advice: That's consecutive two-hit games for Greene, who has his batting average up to .244. While that's a dip from the .288 figure he recorded last season, he's sitting with an identical .796 OPS so far thanks to an early power surge. Greene has blasted 10 home runs across 57 games after going deep only 11 times in 99 games last year. The 23-year-old seems primed to set a new career high in long balls in 2024, and it could happen soon if he stays locked in at the plate. Rotowire.com Sunday, 6:00 am

    • Struggles with control Saturday
Steele allowed five runs (one earned) on seven hits and four walks while striking out five batters over five innings in a no-decision against Cincinnati on Saturday.

Advice: Steele's fantasy stat line wasn't disastrous since only one of the five runs charged to him was earned, but he was far from sharp, especially in terms of control. The southpaw hit a batter in addition to issuing a season-high four walks, and he threw just 58 of 98 pitches for strikes. Steele is usually much better at limiting free passes -- before Saturday, he had issued only seven walks over six starts -- so this was likely just a bump in the road for him. He's been decent with a 4.10 ERA and 1.21 WHIP across 37.1 innings this season but has yet to pick up a win. Rotowire.com Saturday, 11:05 pm

    • Steele allows five runs in no-decision
Justin Steele allowed five runs (one earned) in five innings and got a no-decision in the Cubs’ 7-5 victory over the Reds on Saturday.

Advice: Steele gave up seven hits, walked four and struck out five. He seemed to be turning a corner with seven shutout innings in his last start, but this was a setback for Steele. Even though most of the runs were unearned, he’s now allowed at least five runs in four of his last five starts. Steele has completed six innings in only two of his seven starts this year. His ERA was mostly spared in this one and now sits at 4.10 for the season, but when you add it all up this isn’t a recipe for winning games right now. The 28-year-old left-hander will look to improve against the Reds on the road next week.
