    • Tallies three hits Friday
Greene went 3-for-4 with a walk and a run scored in Friday's 2-1 loss to the Yankees.

Advice: Greene was the only Detroit hitter to get anything going on Friday, as the team had just five hits overall. The outfielder could have had a bigger game if his teammates had come through, but he's still on a nice six-game hitting streak either way. During that span, Greene is batting a robust .435 with two home runs, four total runs scored and four RBI. It looks like the 23-year-old is primed for a big campaign. • Returns to action
      Encarnacion-Strand went 0-for-3 in Friday's 3-0 loss to Baltimore.

Advice: Encarnacion-Strand missed the last four games with a hand injury. His first full season in the majors has gotten off to a rocky start: the first baseman is slashing .190/.216/.305 over 111 plate appearances. His strikeout rate is nearly identical to what it was in 2023, but the walk rate is about half of what it was last year and Encarnacion-Strand is in the fifth percentile in chase percentage. • Goes yard again
Cronenworth went 3-for-5 with a solo homer in Friday's win over Arizona.

Advice: Cronenworth smacked a 398-foot home run off Slade Cecconi in the fourth inning to give him his third homer in five games. The Padres first baseman also extended his hit streak to seven games, batting .370 (10-for-27) during that time. Cronenworth has started the season on a tear, slashing .279/.353/.516 with six home runs, 25 RBI and 18 runs scored over 142 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:14 pm

    • Craig Kimbrel strikes out side to earn save
Craig Kimbrel returned to action and earned a save on Friday, striking out all three batters he faced versus the Reds.

Advice: That’s quite the positive outing for Kimbrel after he blew a second straight save chance Sunday and then missed a few days with back soreness. He has a 2.92 ERA and a 20/6 K/BB ratio in 12 1/3 innings for the season. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:32 pm
    • Jake Cronenworth homer helps Padres top D-Backs
Jake Cronenworth went 3-for-5 with a homer and two doubles in a victory over the Diamondbacks on Friday.

Advice: Cronenworth swatted one of three homers for the Padres on Friday, with his being a solo shot off Slade Cecconi. Cronenworth has shown solid power to begin the 2024 season, as he’s up to six homers, nine doubles and a .516 slugging percentage through 122 at-bats. It’s certainly understandable to be skeptical considering that the 30-year-old hasn’t slugged above .400 over the last two seasons, but the results are awfully promising right now. • Earns save in return
Kimbrel earned the save in Friday's 3-0 win over Cincinnati, striking out three in a perfect ninth inning.

Advice: It was Kimbrel's first appearance in five days, as the veteran right-hander was dealing with back soreness. He certainly didn't show any signs of rust Friday, striking out the side to close out a shutout victory for his eighth save this season. Kimbrel had blown consecutive save chances before he was sidelined, allowing three runs in just a third of an inning. He now sports a 2.92 ERA with a 1.14 WHIP and 20:6 K:BB across 12.1 innings this season. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:49 pm
    • Goes yard twice in loss
Baty went 3-for-4 with two home runs and four RBI in Friday's 10-8 loss to the Rays.

Advice: The young third baseman took Aaron Civale deep for a three-run blast in the second inning to open the scoring, and he then connected for a solo shot off Jason Adam in the ninth. It was the first multi-homer performance of Baty's big-league career, and it snapped a 27-game drought for the 24-year-old -- his only other long ball in 2024 came back on March 30. Despite the power outage, Baty has taken a big step forward in his development this year, and through 30 contests he's slashing .271/.340/.385, a massive improvement on last season's .212/.275/.323 line. • Brett Baty homers twice as Mets fall to Rays
Brett Baty went 3-for-4 with a pair of homers and four RBI on Friday night as the Mets fell to the Rays in a slugfest at Tropicana Field.

Advice: Baty opened the scoring in the ballgame, crushing a two-out, 378-foot (109.2 mph EV) three-run shot off of Aaron Civale in the second inning. That lead would be short-lived though. Baty then added a 421-foot (107.7 mph EV) solo shot off of Jason Adam in the ninth that pulled the Mets to within two runs at 10-8, but that would be as close as they would get. With his three-hit attack, Baty is now hitting .271/.340/.385 with three homers and 13 RBI on the season. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:40 pm

    • Bobby Miller (shoulder) throws bullpen on Friday
Bobby Miller (shoulder) threw a successful bullpen session on Friday.

Advice: The 25-year-old hurler will likely repeat the process another time or two before facing live hitters, but he’s trending in the right direction. Dodgers’ manager Dave Roberts noted that Miller should be able to ramp up quickly once he’s ready to face live hitters, so take that for what it’s worth. Rotoworld Yesterday, 5:11 pm
