    • Extends hitting streak
Gonzales went 2-for-5 with a solo home run, two RBI and two runs scored Saturday against Colorado.

Advice: Gonzales tallied Pittsburgh's first run of the game with a solo home run in the fourth inning, his fifth long ball of the season. That knock also extended his hitting streak to six games, and he's hitting .292 with nine RBI and five runs scored across 12 contests in June. Rotowire.com 50 minutes ago

    • Allows season-high six runs
Jones (4-6) took the loss against the Rockies on Saturday, allowing six runs on six hits and four walks over 4.2 innings. He struck out six.

Advice: Jones struck out three of the first four batters he faced on the night before allowing two batters to reach in the second, though he would manage to escape the inning unscathed thanks to a double play ball. Unfortunately that luck would not continue as the right-hander went on to surrender runs in each of the next three frames while issuing a season-high four walks in the contest. Jones has now surrendered five or more runs in two of his last four starts and has issued multiple free passes in five straight. It also marked the second time in his last four outings that he was unable to make it through five innings. Rotowire.com Today, 6:32 am

    • Nick Gonzales lifts homer in blowout loss to COL
Nick Gonzales homered and drove home two runs in a loss to the Rockies on Saturday.

Advice: Gonzales tied the game at 1-1 with a solo homer off Ty Blach in the fourth frame. The former top prospect has been able to pick up five homers in his 117 at-bats, and that roundtripper along with an RBI on a fielder’s choice give him 25 on the year. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:59 pm

    • Jared Jones allows six runs in loss to Rockies
Jared Jones allowed six runs over his 4 2/3 innings while picking up a loss to the Rockies on Saturday.

Advice: Jones was not great, and the Pittsburgh bullpen allowed 10 more runs to score in a 16-4 blowout loss to the Rockies. The right-hander gave up six hits, and he also walked four on a night where the command just wasn’t there for the 22-year-old. He still was able to strike out six, and his rookie campaign has certainly been a success even with a couple of so-so outings as of late. He’ll take a 3.76 ERA into next weekend’s scheduled start vs. the Rays. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:56 pm

    • Raps out four hits
Keith went 4-for-6 with a solo home run and a double in Saturday's 13-5 win over the Astros.

Advice: Keith tacked on the final run of the game with a homer in the ninth inning. The infielder had struggled early in June, going 4-for-30 over his previous 10 games, though he's racked up seven hits across his last three contests. He's rarely been a source of power in 2024 -- Keith has just three homers, seven doubles and a .315 slugging percentage while batting .235 over 61 games. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:23 pm

    • Huge day at plate
Greene went 4-for-5 with one walk, two home runs and six RBI in Saturday's 13-5 win over the Astros.

Advice: Greene was a beast in this contest. He contributed a solo shot in the first inning, a three-run blast in the second and an RBI single in the third as the Tigers jumped out to a 10-0 lead. His sixth RBI of the day came on a bases-loaded walk in the eighth. The outfielder has driven in 12 runs during his six-game hitting streak and he's batting .321 (17-for-53) in June. The 23-year-old is up to 14 homers, 36 RBI, 48 runs scored, three stolen bases and a .256/.348/.488 slash line through 69 contests overall as he continues to cement himself as a building block for the Tigers during their ongoing rebuild. • Goes five scoreless innings
Flaherty (4-4) earned the win Saturday over the Astros, allowing three hits and a walk while striking out six over five scoreless innings.

Advice: Flaherty was skipped once through the rotation while he dealt with a back injury, which he received an injection for Monday. He was good in his return, though he was limited to 73 pitches (46 strikes), as the Tigers likely didn't want to risk pushing him too hard after they built up a 10-0 lead. Flaherty is at a 3.01 ERA, 0.95 WHIP and 100:11 K:BB through 77.2 innings over 13 starts this season. Assuming he doesn't aggravate the back injury, he is tentatively scheduled to make his next start at home in a favorable matchup versus the White Sox. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:11 pm

    • Riley Greene homers twice in win
Riley Greene went 4-for-5 with two home runs, six RBI and two runs scored in a 13-5 win over the Astros on Saturday.

Advice: Greene didn’t hit for a ton of power last year while recovering from a shoulder injury, so there was a narrative that he was more of a slap hitter, but that was never the case. The 23-year-old is now up to 14 home runs on the season to go along with 36 RBI and a .836 OPS. He looks to be in the midst of a full-on breakout and has a bright fantasy future ahead of him. • Colt Keith has four hits, HR in win
Colt Keith went 4-for-6 with a solo home run in a win over the Astros on Saturday.

Advice: Keith is now 6-for-9 in the first two games of the series. The home run was his third of the season and accounted for his 20th RBI. While those numbers aren’t anything to write home about, Keith has some legitimate power at the minor league level. After getting hot in May, Keith was banged up in a collision with his own teammate and went cold to start June, but perhaps his bat is heating back up again. Rotoworld Yesterday, 5:17 pm
