    • Dealing with hamstring tightness
Happ was removed from Friday's game against the Marlins due to tightness in his right hamstring, Meghan Montemurro of the Chicago Tribune reports.

Advice: Manager Craig Counsell said the decision to remove Happ from the game was precautionary, though he may still sit out a game or two in order to properly recover. The 29-year-old outfielder has already dealt with hamstring issues this year, missing time during spring training due to a strain in his left hamstring. Rotowire.com 18 minutes ago

    • Ian Happ leaves game with tight hamstring Friday
Ian Happ was removed from Friday afternoon’s game against the Marlins due to tightness in his left hamstring.

Advice: Cubs’ skipper Craig Counsell told reporters after the game that it was a precautionary measure. He’ll be re-evaluated on Saturday but the club is hopeful that the 29-year-old outfielder won’t have to miss any substantial time. Happ did battle a similar hamstring injury at the beginning of spring training. Rotoworld 24 minutes ago

    • Ketel Marte stays hot Thursday in loss to Giants
Ketel Marte singled on Thursday in the Diamondbacks’ loss to the Giants.

Advice: Marte led off the contest with a single back up the middle off Giants starter Logan Webb. He’s been on an absolute tear of late with eight hits in 14 at-bats over his last three contests. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:58 pm
    • Notches four-out save
Yates earned the save in Thursday's 9-7 win over Detroit, allowing one hit while logging a strikeout in 1.1 scoreless innings.

Advice: Yates entered with two outs in the eighth inning, striking out Spencer Torkelson to strand the tying and go-ahead runs on base before working around a two-out single in the ninth en route to his second save this season. Yates has yet to allow a run through his first eight appearances (8.2 innings) this year. The 37-year-old veteran has saves in two of the Rangers' last four games, as he looks to be firming his grasp on the ninth-inning job in Texas. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 4:05 pm
    • Kirby Yates gets four-out save against Tigers
Kirby Yates got the final four outs to pick up a save Thursday against the Tigers.

Advice: Yates got the final out of the eighth inning, and while he did give up a hit in the ninth, he was able to keep the Tigers off the board while picking up his second save of the season. Jose Leclerc also worked in the game Thursday, and while he did strike out two without giving up a run, he also walked a pair while throwing 10-of-25 pitches for strikes. Long story short, Yates looks solid and Leclerc does not, and that’s why the former is going to get the bulk of the save chances for the foreseeable future. Rotoworld Yesterday, 1:21 pm
    • Homers again, tallies three hits
Marte went 3-for-4 with a home run, a double and two RBI in Wednesday's loss to the Cubs.

Advice: Marte led off the bottom of the first with a solo home run, jumping on the first pitch he saw from Jordan Wicks to give the Diamondbacks an early 1-0 lead. He then doubled in his next at-bat to lead off the third and singled home a run in the fifth to tie the game at 2-2. The second baseman continues to swing a hot bat and has now recorded at least three hits in back-to-back contests, raising his batting average to .325 in the process. Marte has also homered in two straight games, giving him five long balls in the early campaign. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:07 am
    • Finally goes yard
Acuna went 2-for-5 with a solo home run in Wednesday's 5-4 extra-inning win over the Astros.

Advice: It took 17 games, but last year's NL MVP finally went deep in 2024, as Acuna got hold of a J.P. France sweeper to lead off the fifth inning and launched it 422 feet to straightaway center field. Despite the slow start in the power department, the 26-year-old has still been very productive from a fantasy perspective, slashing .294/.400/.397 with six RBI, eight steals and 17 runs scored -- third in the Senior Circuit behind Mookie Betts (22) and Ketel Marte (20). • Potential save becomes win
Yates (2-0) picked up the win in Wednesday's 5-4 victory over the Tigers. He walked one and struck out four over 1.1 scoreless innings.

Advice: The Rangers had a 4-1 lead entering the bottom of the sixth inning but allowed Detroit to score single runs in the next three frames to tie the game. Yates entered to get the final out of the eighth inning and was the pitcher of record when Josh Smith doubled in the go-ahead run in the top of the ninth. Yates, who has not allowed a run over 7.1 innings, has become the closer following the removal of Jose Leclerc from that role. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 6:13 am
    • Records first big-league steal
Clase went 1-for-3 with a walk, a stolen base and a run in a win over the Reds on Wednesday.

Advice: The rookie continued to provide a much-needed spark to the underachieving Mariners offense in his third major-league start. Clase helped manufacture Seattle's fourth run of the game with the help of trademark speed he so often flashed during his minor-league career, drawing a seventh-inning walk, swiping second and then coming around to score on a Mitch Haniger single. Clase's strong early returns should further ensure he'll remain in a near everyday role while Dominic Canzone (shoulder) is on the shelf. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 3:20 am
