    • Tyler Anderson throws quality start in no-decision
Tyler Anderson pitched 6 2/3 innings of one-run ball Monday against the Padres.

Advice: Anderson has made a mockery of the metrics all season, but especially lately; his last four starts have seen him allow a total of four runs even though he’s given up three homers and posted a 14/13 K/BB ratio in 26 2/3 innings. His 2.37 ERA on the year is more than two runs lower than his FIP. One imagines it will all catch up with him at some point. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:19 pm
    • Yields one run in no-decision
Anderson allowed a run on five hits and three walks over 6.2 innings in a no-decision Monday. He struck out two during the victory against San Diego.

Advice: Anderson served up a solo shot to Manny Machado in the first inning but otherwise worked around danger for the rest of the night. Anderson has given up exactly one run in four straight outings despite registering a lackluster 14:13 K:BB during that span. On the year, his ERA is down to an impressive 2.37, while he's delivered eight quality starts in 12 appearances. Anderson's next start is in line to be at home against the Astros. • Strikes out six in no-decision
Skubal did not factor into the decision in Monday's 2-1 win over the Rangers, allowing one run on seven hits and two walks with six strikeouts over six innings.

Advice: Skubal surrendered a leadoff home run to Marcus Semien in the first inning but held the Rangers in check over the next five and left the mound in a 1-1 tie. Skubal allowed at least one baserunner in each inning, but he was still able to earn a quality start despite not having his best stuff. Through 12 starts, Skubal, who has not walked more than two batters in any game this season, has posted a sparkling 1.97 ERA, 0.88 WHIP and 86:13 K:BB and tentatively lines up for a home matchup against the Brewers on Sunday. • Skubal strikes out six in no-decision Monday
Tarik Skubal allowed one run in six innings and got a no-decision in the Tigers’ 2-1 victory over the Rangers on Monday.

Advice: Skubal gave up seven hits, walked two and struck out six. He managed to earn a quality start for the ninth time in 12 starts this season. Skubal allowed a leadoff home run to Marcus Semien, but that was the only run the Rangers could muster against him. His ERA is now 1.97 as he continues to push for the AL Cy Young award. The 27-year-old left-hander will face the Brewers at home this weekend. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:29 pm

    • Seven strong innings in win
Wheeler (7-3) earned the win Monday against Milwaukee, allowing one earned run on five hits and three walks over seven innings. He struck out six.

Advice: Wheeler nearly pitched seven shutout innings, but he surrendered a solo home run to former teammate Rhys Hoskins with two outs in the seventh inning. Wheeler turned in his fourth consecutive quality start Monday, bringing his season total to 10. Wheeler has pitched to a 2.23 ERA and 0.97 WHIP with 91 strikeouts in 80.2 innings this season, all of which rank top 10 in the league. He will look to keep rolling in his next start, tentatively scheduled for next Tuesday in Boston. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:10 pm

    • Zack Wheeler tosses seven innings to beat Brewers
Zack Wheeler yielded one run over seven innings on Monday in a win over the Brewers.

Advice: Wheeler carried a shutout bid into the seventh inning before coughing up a solo shot to former teammate Rhys Hoskins and wound up requiring a season-high 114 pitches (67 strikes) to navigate seven frames. He finished with six strikeouts and also handed out a trio of free passes. The 34-year-old right-hander has been one of the most consistent upper-echelon fantasy starters in the game for the last few years and hasn’t skipped a beat this season, allowing three earned runs or fewer in 11 of his 13 outings. He’ll carry a sparkling 2.23 ERA, 0.97 WHIP and 91/26 K/BB ratio across 80 2/3 innings (13 starts) into a road tilt next Tuesday against the Red Sox at historic Fenway Park. • Getting rest Monday
Vierling is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Rangers.

Advice: Vierling will get a breather for the series opener, despite being one of the hottest hitters in the Detroit lineup at the moment. While starting each of the last seven games, Vierling recorded at least one hit and produced a .438/.455/.906 slash line overall. The 27-year-old should have a hold on a near-everyday role while he's sizzling at the plate, but his absence from the lineup Monday will open up a spot in the outfield for Akil Baddoo. • Activated from injured list
The Rays reinstated Lowe (oblique) from the 10-day injured list Monday.

Advice: Tampa Bay is off Monday, but the club went ahead and officially put Lowe back on its active roster ahead of their series against the Marlins, which begins Tuesday. Lowe has been limited to just 14 games this season because of a pair of oblique strains, but he's ready to roll after going 4-for-12 with a triple, three runs and two RBI over three rehab games with Triple-A Durham. He'll likely see most of his playing time in right field for the Rays but could also play some in center. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:57 am

    • Rays activate Josh Lowe (oblique) from 10-day IL
Rays activated OF Josh Lowe from the 10-day injured list.

Advice: As anticipated, Lowe will be back in uniform with the team when they kick off their two-game set against the Marlins in Miami on Tuesday. Prior to his stint on the injured list, the 26-year-old outfielder had been hitting .240/.296/.440 with two dingers and three RBI in his first 50 at-bats. Jonathan Aranda was optioned to Triple-A Durham in a corresponding move on Monday. Rotoworld Yesterday, 10:47 am
