    • Stuck with loss Saturday
Eflin (3-5) took the loss Saturday as the Rays were downed 4-3 by the Pirates, giving up four runs on five hits and a walk over seven innings. He struck out six.

Advice: Pittsburgh stung the right-hander for a run in the first inning and three more in the third, and while Eflin settled in after that, the Tampa Bay offense wasn't able to put together a comeback. Eflin's last quality start came May 7, and in six outings since then, he's stumbled to a 4.86 ERA despite a 1.17 WHIP and 24:2 K:BB in 33.1 innings. He'll look to turn things around in his next start, which lines up to come at home next weekend against the Nationals. Rotowire.com Today, 5:52 am

    • Big day in rout
Harper went 4-for-5 with a home run, two runs scored and three RBI in Saturday's 12-1 win over the Diamondbacks.

Advice: The 31-year-old superstar launched back-to-back homers with Alec Bohm in the third inning, accounting for half of the Phillies' long balls in the contest. Harper is having one of his patented hot streaks -- he's hit safely in 12 of the last 13 games, slashing .404/.475/.731 over that stretch with five doubles, four homers, seven RBI and 12 runs, chipping in a steal for good measure. • Sharp in Saturday's win
Wheeler (9-4) picked up the win in Saturday's 12-1 rout of the Diamondbacks, allowing one run on two hits over seven innings. He struck out eight without walking a batter.

Advice: The right-hander was dominant, generating 31 called or swinging strikes among his 97 pitches as he racked up his sixth quality start in his last seven trips to the mound. Wheeler is 5-1 over that stretch with a 2.96 ERA, 0.92 WHIP and 42:13 K:BB through 45.2 innings, and he'll look to stay locked in for his next outing, which is scheduled to come at home next week against the Marlins. • Back in startling lineup
Marte started at second base and went 0-for-3 in Saturday's 12-1 loss to Philadelphia.

Advice: Marte hadn't played the field since Wednesday; he served as the designated hitter Thursday then was held out of the starting lineup Friday. All appears to be fine for Marte, who was merely given a two-game respite from playing the field. Rotowire.com Today, 4:13 am
    • Secures 14th save
Jansen earned a a save against the Reds on Saturday, allowing one hit in a scoreless inning.

Advice: Jansen worked around a two-out single to close out his 10th straight successful save. The veteran closer has posted a 22:3 K:BB over 18.2 innings during that span while posting a 2.41 ERA. Jansen continues to get the job done in his 15th MLB season -- he's converted 14 of 15 save opportunities while registering a 2.49 ERA and 1.07 WHIP over 25.1 frames. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:47 pm
    • Tosses first career complete game
Ober (7-4) earned the win over Oakland on Saturday, allowing two runs on four hits and no walks while striking out 10 batters over nine innings.

Advice: Ober was extremely efficient in the impressive outing, needing just 89 pitches to polish off the first complete game of his career. The right-hander threw 70 of those pitches for strikes and racked up a career-best 23 whiffs. Ober did give up a pair of solo homers -- just the third time through 15 starts that he's allowed multiple home runs -- but those didn't hurt much with Minnesota's offense putting up 10 runs. Ober carries a 4.50 ERA, 1.11 WHIP and 83:20 K:BB over 82 innings on the campaign. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:47 pm
