• Abraham Toro remains leadoff man despite slump
The slumping Abraham Toro is again in the leadoff spot for the A’s for Thursday’s game against the Twins.

Advice: That’s hardly a surprise, considering that Toro has led off every game for the A’s since May 5. Still, he’s not exactly succeeding in the spot, having posted a .281 OBP in 46 games there. He’s hit .202/.228/.270 in his last 20 games. Rotoworld Today, 12:49 pm

  • Swipes first bag
Walls went 0-for-2 with two walks, a stolen base and a run scored Wednesday against the Cubs.

Advice: Walls has started five of six games since being activated from the injured list, though he's collected just two hits in 14 at-bats. Positively, he stole his first base of the season Wednesday, suggesting he'll still be willing to run even after returning from a serious hip injury. Rotowire.com Today, 7:02 am

  • Tallies three hits Wednesday
Arenado went 3-for-4 with a double, a run and an RBI in a 4-2 win against the Pirates on Wednesday.

Advice: Among Arenado's three hits was a third-inning RBI double that was St. Louis' only extra-base hit of the contest. The veteran third baseman batted .167 over his first seven contests in June but has perked up since, putting together a four-game hitting streak during which he has gone 8-for-16. The hot stretch has improved his season slash line to .264/.320/.386. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:00 pm

  • Homer, three hits in win
Lewis went 3-for-5 with a two-run homer, a double and three total runs scored in Wednesday's 17-9 win over the Rockies.

Advice: Lewis made his presence felt in Minnesota's 24-hit outburst -- he was one of eight Twins to record two or more hits, including a two-run homer off Angel Chivilli to extend the lead to 10-3. Since returning from a 10-week stint on the IL with a quad injury, Lewis has gone 9-for-28 (.321) with four homers and seven RBI across eight games. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 4:41 pm

  • Cavan Biggio starts at third base in Dodgers debut
Cavan Biggio will start at third base and bat ninth in his Dodgers’ debut against the Rangers on Wednesday evening.

Advice: It looks like Biggio could see strong-side platoon at-bats at third base — at least until Max Muncy returns from the injured list — as well as being utilized all over the diamond as a super-utility option. The 29-year-old was hitting a miserable .200/.323/.291 with a pair of homers in 131 plate appearances with the Blue Jays this season before getting designated for assignment and ultimately flipped to the Dodgers. • Sitting Wednesday
Hernandez is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Rangers.

Advice: Hernandez will sit for the second consecutive contest after starting the previous four games at third base. The 32-year-old has a .591 OPS in 155 plate appearances this season, and the acquisition of Cavan Biggio -- who is starting at the hot corner Wednesday -- could result in a reduced role for Hernandez. • Making Dodgers debut at third base
Biggio is starting at third base and batting ninth Wednesday against the Rangers.

Advice: The 29-year-old was officially acquired from Toronto earlier Wednesday and will immediately step into the starting nine for Los Angeles. Biggio struggled in 130 plate appearances for the Blue Jays this season with a .200/.323/.291 slash line and 32.3 percent strikeout rate, but he could see semi-regular playing time at the hot corner while Max Muncy (oblique) is sidelined. Enrique Hernandez has been operating as the Dodgers' primary third baseman but is on the bench Wednesday. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 3:17 pm

  • Royce Lewis stays hot with fifth homer on Wednesday
Royce Lewis went 3-for-5 with a two-run homer on Wednesday in the Twins’ blowout win over the Rockies.

Advice: Lewis took Rockies reliever Angel Chivilli deep for a 424-foot dinger in the sixth inning for his fifth long ball of the year. The 25-year-old burgeoning slugger has launched four homers in eight games since returning from the injured list back on June 4. He has fantasy superstar potential, if he can somehow manage to stay on the field and avoid the injuries that have plagued him the last few years. Rotoworld Yesterday, 2:04 pm

  • Gets first day off since call-up
Malloy is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Nationals.

Advice: Malloy had started at designated hitter or in left field in each of the Tigers' seven games since his June 3 call-up, going 3-for-19 with a home run and a 5:8 BB:K. Though his .636 OPS thus far in his MLB career isn't anything special, the Tigers likely aren't ready to pull the plug on Malloy as an everyday player just yet. With Malloy on the bench Wednesday, the Tigers will give Riley Greene a day off in the outfield and have him serve as the team's DH. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 12:20 pm
